Lisbon Private Tour in 3 Hours: Belém, Jerónimos & Old Town

We had such a fantastic day with Ricardo! Family of 5, with 3 sons in early 20s. We wanted to see Sintra and Cascais, but did not have specific itinerary. Ricardo helped us navigate the Pena palace area and provided lots of information about the grounds and palace throughout. We then had a great lunch in Sintra center at a restaurant recommended by Ricardo. Following lunch we went to a local winery to taste red and white wine from the area, and finished with a drive to the Cascais area and beautiful seaside. Ricardo was easy going and helpful. All of us enjoyed talking with him about Portugal and other experiences, he shared with us ideas on what to do and the entire day was relaxed and fun. Everyone agreed it was a LOT better than trying to navigate on our own or coordinate cabs, trains, etc. A great experience start to finish.

Our experience was excellent. Riccardo is a warm and flexible guide and listened to what we wanted while making some very good recommendations. He is a responsible driver and excellent storyteller, having provided some very good context on the places visited. All in all, it was interesting and enjoyable!

You are basically hiring a driver for this excursion. He was very nice and had a ton of knowledge; however, we were on our own for each stop. Don't buy the tickets beforehand, as you may not want to enter all these venues. We went inside three places and paid about 20 euros per person for all three (senior discount.)

José: Best possible guide for our family. Thank you José! You made our day! We came on a cruise ship and he helped us customize our tour. No unwanted stops like many other tour conpanies do. I am aware that our party was not the most easy: my father uses a wheel chair but wherever we made a stop José did not hesitate to take my father to all places, pushing the wheel chair all over. José was a great driver and super patient. He gave great info and has a nice sense of humor too. I run a tour conpany myself in Mexico and always compare the service that was given to us like we do with our clients, and honestly the service that José gave us was one of the best I ever had in all of my travels. Don’t pay the 50 Euro up-charge for “avoid the line” tickets. We visited two places that required tickets. There were no lines and the tickets cost 19 Euro total for our group. Guide also told us the moor castle was closed to the public so we did not visit. Virtually everyone we spoke to after the tour said it was open to the public. Is it open or closed to the public? Who knows?
