Padrão dos Descobrimentos is a monument on the northern bank of the Tagus River estuary. Located along the river where ships departed to explore and trade with India and the Orient, the monument celebrates the Portuguese Age of Discovery (or Age of Exploration) during the 15th and 16th centuries.
Belém Tower, officially the Tower of Saint Vincent is a 16th-century fortification that served both as a fortress and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. It was built during the Portuguese Renaissance, and is a prominent example of the Portuguese Manueline style,
The Sanctuary of Christ the King is a Catholic monument dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ overlooking the city of Lisbon situated in Almada. It was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, after the Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon visited that monument. The project was inaugurated on 17 May 1959. The giant statue in cement was built to express gratitude because the Portuguese did not participate in World War II.
The Praça do Comércio is situated near the Tagus river. The square is commonly known as Terreiro do Paço because it was the location of the Paços da Ribeira (Royal Ribeira Palace) until it was destroyed by the great 1755 Lisbon earthquake. After the earthquake, the square was completely remodeled as part of the rebuilding of the Pombaline Downtown, ordered by Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo, 1st Marquis of Pombal
From the River you can see the beautiful Castelo de São Jorge that stands majestically above Lisbon and is one of the finest tourist attractions in the city.
The 25 de Abril Bridge is a beautiful suspension bridge connecting the city of Lisbon, capital of Portugal, to the municipality of Almada on the left (south) bank of the Tagus river. It was inaugurated on August 6, 1966.

A 2-hour family walk along the Tejo River between the Tower of Belém and the Commerce Square, very nice. The crew members are very friendly and with the proper conditions of hygiene and safety due to the covid. Fantastic experience, I recommend.

Very nice small 2h cruise along the river to see the old town of Lisbon. The crew from Palmayachts was fantastic, very friendly, helpful and always ready to answer any questions one might have. We had lovely cruise along the Tagus and got to see Lisbon from a different perspective. We did a morning cruise and it was very relaxing and enjoyable. The two guides on board were very nice and gave us water and blankets. I would recommend this tour to everyone who wishes to cruise along the Tagus and learn about Lisbon and its history.
