Lisbon Cooking Class with Market Experience

Description
In our cooking classes, we don't just share techniques and recipes, but also ancient stories passed down through generations. We reveal the secrets behind each dish. Each step is a journey through time, a sensory journey that transports participants to the rustic villages and lively markets of Portugal. For Ana and Carina, the real magic happens when the people start cooking together. As they mix ingredients and share stories from their own lives, they create bonds that go beyond the kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Ana and Carina. The market tour was fun, the facilities wonderful and the instruction and hands-on cooking (and eating) was fabulous! We made fish cataplana, shrimp appetizer and merengue desert. Everything was delicious and we have already recreated the fish cataplana at home. Also appreciate the recipes. Obrigada!
What a great time! My sisters and I booked a class with Carina and Anna during our first trip to Lisbon. The chefs were fantastic. The food was so yummy! Would definitely recommend!
We had great time cooking with Ana and Carina! We made some fantastic Fish Cataplana and also other foods but I loved the cataplana - it was so easy, tasty and great food!
These trained professional chefs were wonderful teachers. They taught us how to make delicious but not complicated dishes that Portuguese home cooks make. We started in the small local market where they shop (and know the vendors). They showed us how to do all the steps but let us do the work. The results were delicious. Ana and Carina were delightful, and we had a blast!
Just a fun and amazing experience with these two wonderful Chefs. Really enjoyed the entire experience and would highly recommend this to all. Enjoy.
The market tour was fantastic - you get to see all sorts of local market products and understand how they could be cooked in the Portuguese way. The cooking experience was great too - we learnt to use natural favours of veggies (tomato and sweet pepper) to bring a fresh and unique taste to the dish, instead of having to add a lot of seasonings. This Portuguese way of cooking is insightful. Before we began the cooking, the tutors also prepared a nice platter as starter which we enjoyed a lot. A highly recommended experience!
What an amazing experience! Anna and Carina met us at the market- not a tourist stop! We shopped with them picking up the finishings for the preparation of what would become a fresh, interesting and delicious authentic Portuguese meal! We started with wine and nibbles and enjoyed the ladies regaling us with stories of life growing up on a farm- where only the freshest will do and sampling olive oil from Carina’s family production. Then it was time to get cooking- all hands on deck! Who knew my husband was so talented! Lol. Spicy shrimp, fresh fish and veggies in the cataplana (you’ll want one!) and a devine dessert. We loved every moment and recommend Anna and Carina wholeheartedly. Definite 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was one of the best cooking classes I have ever taken! Ana and Carina were professional, personable, knowledgeable and fun! My husband and adults kids had a blast, AND the food was outstanding! I would recommend this to anyone who wants an authentic Portuguese experience.
The cooking school was absolutely first-class. From the warm welcome with a beautifully prepared charcuterie board to the full lunch and delightful dessert, every detail was thoughtfully executed. Our instructors were not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so friendly and inviting that they made us feel like part of the family. I give them my highest recommendation and strongly encourage any aspiring cook to attend their class!
We had a great time. Carina and Ana are very friendly and welcome you as family members. It feels like we're at home and cooking with friends. This is a very original way to visit Lisbon and discover a little more of Portuguese culture. The icing on the cake: What we cooked was delicious, washed down with a nice glass of vinho verde in a warm atmosphere.
