An excellent experience if you like nature with plenty of birds, reptiles and mammals to keep you fully occupied. This tour would not have been half as good without our guide, Edgar, whose enthusiasm was matched by his extensive knowledge. The hanging bridges are also excellent and gives you sense you that you are in the clouds. A real winner.
One of our favorite experiences of the trip! We ended having our a private tour with Roberto F. as our guide. Incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, he was able to explain and show us things we would never have seen without a guide. He even shared his pictures with us. Don’t miss out on this wonderful tour!
The guided tour was awesome. Had the best guide. The guide kept the whole experience interesting and made sure that we stay connected.
This was an easy hike and very informative. our guide did a great job pointing out wildlife we would never had noticed on our own! I highly recommend doing guided tours for exactly this reason.
First paid experience while in Costa Rica. Didn’t read the info and showed up with family in hiking sandals bc it was raining and didn’t want to soak our shoes. You need closed toed shoes to be safe from any unexpected creatures or injury from tripping/falling. Lesson learned- but do want to say that you can sign a waiver if you do not have closed- toed shoes, which is what we did. Also, it’s ok to bring an umbrella, but there are a lot of people and the umbrella gets in the way. Best to have a rain poncho - you can even buy one in the gift shop. Our guide was knowledgeable and taught us all about sloths, respecting them and nature as a whole. We saw spider monkeys and howler monkeys, as well as a glass frog and red poison dart frog! Our family had a fun and exciting adventure. The reason I gave 4 stars is that some (1/3?) of the trail was closed- so we missed out on bridges. Total distance was 3 miles with some hills.
Such a beautiful tour. Our guide was Indie and she was thoroughly knowledgeable about the wildlife in the park. We enjoyed seeing birds, frogs, and some monkeys. In our opinion, the guide was essential to point these out; she focused in on her scope and also captured pics with our phones. She is such a fabulous human; when some random tourist (who hadn't paid for the guided tour) boldly looked through the scope just barging in front of us, she gently reminded them to respect the equipment and to let our group have the view. Great experience for all; the walk is not strenuous and even my husband with a touch of vertigo could do the bridges.
We did the noon guided tour. Nasa, our tour guide was very knowledgeable. She stopped often when she would spot something interesting. I don’t know how she saw some things like the glass frog, but she would spot something and set up her telescope so we could see. She was amazing!! Tour was about 2.5 hours. Some uphill hiking, but not too difficult. I highly recommend!
We had an amazing tour of the Mistico Hanging Bridges. Our guide, Edgar was fantastic, inspiring and super knowledgeable. We would have missed so much wildlife if it weren’t for him. He also kept the kids (ages 2-7) engaged the entire time. Definitely the best tour guide I’ve experienced in my life. The bridges had incredible views and there was even a beautiful waterfall. 12/10 experience.
Gabo was great and very engaging with our kids. We went over three hanging bridges and saw tons of life.
