Our trek begins in the sanctuary of Espichel Cape, where you will visit the small Memory chapel, the church, the old hostels, Casa da Ópera, the aqueduct and Casa da Água. It is a rare example of a monumental sanctuary for religious pilgrimages scenographically designed from the ground up and religious architectural complex that is unique in Portugal. This review is from my son, Nick: The excursion was the best that I have ever done as part of any vacation. That was exclusively due to our excellent guide Miguel. He took us to a local grocery store and restaurant, where we got food and drinks, including freshly made bread for the sandwiches, before we rode out to the park. He was a great driver and even had a small fridge for our drinks and had water available for us. The hike was great, challenging but fun and the spot where we ate lunch was breathtaking. The dinosaur footprints were the highlight of our cruise trip. Afterwards we ate at a local restaurant and had more great food and rolled into the port with plenty of time to get back on the ship. Miguel was phenomenal and pointed out birds to us, animal signs and local wildlife. If I could only do one excursion, I would do this one, and insist on Miguel.

It was a very interesting tour, wirh beautiful nature and many flowers. Andre, the guide, knew a lot of things and is enthusiastic. We had lunch at an excellent seaside restaurant recommended by him.

Our guide Miguel was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife we saw. There were a fair amount of challenging parts of the hike, but the views were worth it!

André was a great guide yo have during this trip. The scenary was beautiful and we enjoyed the hike. Very diverse, as you walk across scenic ocean vires to local farms. It is a 16km hike, but it goes well. Only a few difficult parts. Thank you André for the wonderful Day!

Small group tour. Good camaraderie, exercise, beautiful views, and local foods. Great opportunity to explore outside of Lisbon and yes, we did see dinosaur foot and hand prints along the coast! We learned quite a bit of Portugal history, visited old world small villages and enjoyed Andrew’s passion for sharing his country and community with us.

First of sall I have to thank Andre for his flexibility in organising, then having to re-orgainse, our trip. The coastal situation of Cape Espichel is very dramatic with the sauropod and theropd footprints (and tail drag markings!) combing to give a memorable visit. Afterwards Sesimbra castle is situated on a hilltop giving spectacular views especially to the south towards the small fishing resort of Sesimbra where you can take lunch. Andre was very enthusiatic and knowledgeable giving information on the plants as we walked the tracks towards the foorprints and was always keen to let us see the best parts in this area.
