Excellent tour and guide. Loved it.
Thank you for your kind review 😊
Cindy: a guide charm. The story is too well known. Even those who have never read the Odyssey, know the plot. The archaeological site itself is quite modest when compared, for example, to the acropolis or machu-pichu. In addition, these are traces of successive occupations, so that Troy, properly speaking, is a layer still little excavated and researched. Whether or not the site contains traces of the legendary Troy doesn't matter. It has traces of different occupations over millennia and that is not little. For the most modern and cinematophile visitors, our guide Cindy made the links with the Hollywood movie. In fact, justice be done: the highlight of the experience was the development and sympathy of the guide Cindy. I also record the excellent quality of the transfer and the entire support team on the journey.
Muchas Gracias 😊
The Troy day tour was my favorite part of our trip to Türkiye. Based all the way in Eceabat, Crowded House Tours picked me up directly from my hotel. This tour allowed me to get out of the city and visit the countryside Eceabat and Canakkale’ province. Beautiful landscape. The entire staff was professional and exceptional, from the front office coordinating my booking and responding to my inquiries (thank you Ramazan!), the kind drivers who drove long hours so we could get to our destinations safely and smoothly on time, to our wonderful tour guide, Serat, who was very accommodating to all of us, knowledgeable and equipped with historical information. The three course lunch provided at a local restaurant in Eceabat was delicious. Sailing the Dardanelles on the ferry was an added plus having read about this fabled waterway in history books and in mythology (Hellespont). I would definitely book with Crowded House again.

This was a good tour but a very long day. They picked me up at my hotel at 6:30am and we didn’t return until 9:00pm. Burac was our guide and he was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the history of Troy and archeology. The van makes a 30 minute stop each way for bathroom and food. We also had lunch at the port before boarding the ferry. It takes about 3 1/2 hours back and forth from Istanbul. After lunch you board the ferry to reach the Asian side. About 30 minute ride. Then you go to the ruins of Troy and see all the ancient ruins. It is not very much to see. Much has deteriorated after many years. Our guide had pictures to show at each site of what it used to look like and he explained the history. There is a lot of walking up and down stairs. On the ferry ride you pass Gallipoli and the flags, memorial site and the army barracks so that was interesting too.

Impressively coordinated day trip from Istanbul. Barac, our guide, was both entertaining and informative.

The day trip to Troy was excellently organized, with an hotel pick-up and a smooth ferry crossing. Everything ran on time and without any stress. Our guide, Burak, was highly professional and very knowledgeable about the site's history. He kept the tour engaging by mixing historical facts with a great sense of humor, making the visit very enjoyable. If you spend time in Istanbul, it is definitely worth a shot!

We had a wonderful experience with Crowded House Tours on our City of Troy trip. Everything was well-organized and on time, and the staff were very nice and approachable. Special thanks to Serhat, who guided us to and from the ferry between Eceabat and Çanakkale. It was also really nice chatting with him during the ride - he was friendly, fun, and easy to talk to. He clearly explained what was included in the tour and the itinerary, and he shared interesting stories about the history of the place and the war that happened years ago. You can really see how passionate and dedicated he is to his job through the way he treats his guests. Our guide in Troy, Simge, was also amazing. Even while we were still on the van, she was already sharing historical information and making sure we understood the significance of the site. She is very knowledgeable and confident in what she does. Despite the rain, our tour continued smoothly, and she even offered us an umbrella. She was patient, caring, and always checked if we were comfortable. We would also like to thank our drivers for getting us safely to and from Istanbul. Their professionalism and careful driving made the long journey comfortable and stress-free. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Crowded House Tours, especially if you’re visiting Troy. Thank you to the whole team for making our trip so special!
