Itinerary
First, you will experience the most diverse and often the most fun place in the Asian side of the city. You will discover cool graffities, street art festivals and life in Kadıköy on your way. Here you'll learn important facts about Turkish breakfast and try traditional Turkish breakfast dishes and Turkish tea in one of the best places in town.
Then you will try a hand made pide while learning how they are made and you will watch the chefs making pide in front of your eyes. You'll experience our secret delicious dish
You will learn about the daily life of locals, Turkish Coffee History and about the fascinating history of our food and culture while drinking your Turkish coffee and wine.
You will pass through the local market in Kadıköy, try a very old traditional Turkish food called Lahmacun and learn about the history of this dish and why important by the locals.
You will walk through the antique street, discover umbrella street and bar street, and learn about the bar culture in Kadıköy. You'll get lost like locals in the backstreets of the city. You will discover the main street with the tram and the famous meeting point of Kadıköy.

My fiance and I had a wonderful walking tour through Kadikoy with Secret Foot Tours Istanbul. It was the perfect way to see more of the city, particularly the Asian side a bit farther away from the biggest attractions, and to try excellent versions of some of Turkey's most famous dishes. There is so much to see and try in Istanbul and having an expert guide to what to try and where was an immense help. Our guide Melis was very friendly and knowledgeable and really helped make the tour an unforgettable experience. Jeremy was a great tour guide. Really friendly and knowledegeable. Despite the rain we had a really interesting and delicious time. The walking was not strenuous and we saw a range of different areas. Jeremy gave us lots of information beyond the food but also helped link the tastes to different parts of Turkey. Don’t think twice about booking this experience. I have been to Istanbul many times and this was one of my favorite food tours. Food was amazing , so make sure you go hungry. Every place we stopped was clean and the staff were welcoming . The Asian side that this tour is located is a perfect spot to explore after the tour. You really get to see a different side of Istanbul. My guide was amazing and she did an awesome job explaining the history of the food and the regions they came from.
