As you approach the park, you'll feel your excitement growing as you anticipate the wildlife sightings that lie ahead. Once you arrive, you'll embark on a 5 hour open vehicle safari, allowing you to get up close and personal with the animals. Your experienced guide will be on hand to share their knowledge of the park's ecosystem and help you spot some of the park's famous residents, including elephants, lions, leopards, and more. Whilst on the safari, you'll be taken to a lodge where you'll have the opportunity to relax and enjoy 1 hour lunch. The lodge is surrounded by stunning views of the park.

Jason was extremely informative as a guide and a very safe driver! He drove us to and from Pilansberg from Joburg and we enjoyed a 6 hr safari of Pilansberg in the open jeep . We saw elephants galore, rhinos, hippos, giraffe, zebras and wildebeest and even a lion cub from a distance. Well worth the 3 hr drive each way from Joburg if you have a day to spare!!

Jason organized the 12 hours of the Pilanesberg safari excellently in every aspect and also seamlessly integrated our special request for pickup. Our expectations were met 100%, and the early rising was worth it. The comfortable and safe ride to and from Pilanesberg from Johannesburg went quickly with additional information about the land and its people. On-site, the safari experience in the jeep, including lunch, was already organized. We felt very well cared for throughout; there were no waiting times, no standing in line. An amazing day from start to finish thanks to Jason. Great communication from the minute I booked to arrange pick up and give us some helpful tips for the day. On time pick up from our hotel, a great drive to the National Park. Jason took into consideration rest stops and gave us lots of interesting facts on the journey, he managed to find the perfect balance between chat and letting us take it all in - it was an early start so I think we were still half asleep. The company he booked the safari through were great, very informative, went out of their way to make sure we saw as many animals as possible. The lunch at the park was fantastic and who knew we would get to enjoy it with some animal guests. Again the journey home, was filled with facts and a perfect balance between chat and quiet, amazing how exhausting a day in a car is!!! Endlessly grateful for this experience. If we come back to South Africa we will definitely be booking another tour with Jason.

This tour should not be missed on your trip. Seeing the animals living in their natural habitat is simply fantastic. However, it is important not to create too much expectation regarding the number of animals or their proximity. During the journey, they were not so close, which can frustrate those who hope to take closer photos. I also recommend carrying a jacket and raincoat as the weather can change quickly. Overall, the experience is excellent, but it is worth remembering that we humans are only a small detail in the lives of these animals, who live free and do not behave like in a zoo. Therefore, there are chances of not seeing some animals during the walk.

It was an amazing experience. Jason from Deeprift ventours took us to the Pilanesberg Park and the safari tour with our guide was incredible. It is a lifetime experience and I recommend anyone to do it. It was all safe, good views, good cars and good meal. I recommend the open car, you'll have very nice views. Just take a jacket or 2.
