Description
After collecting you form your hotel or residence in Johannesburg between 06:00 – 06:30, we travel to the Pilanesberg Nature Park We should arrive at Pilanesberg Park around 9am where we will then board and start our 1st open vehicle safari drive ( +- 3 hours) in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park We will then have a short stop from 12 pm until 1 pm for lunch at Pilanebserg Center inside the middle of the park overlooking a beautiful waterhole . After Lunch we will depart on our 2nd Open Safari Drive (+-2 hours) we depart the park around 15h30 arriving back in Johannesburg between 17h30 to 18h00

Itinerary
Visit Pilanesberg Game Reserve from Johannesburg for a full-day safari. The tour includes return transportation to the park and two 2.5-hour game drives with a highly qualified ranger in an open vehicle. On arrival your guide will take you on an exciting morning open 4x4 safari vehicle safari drive in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park. Our guides are knowledgeable and will give you in depth information on the animal you are viewing and try their out-most to find the members of the Big 5.During the heat of the day you will enjoy lunch at one of the many rest camps in the National Park before departing on an afternoon open vehicle safari drive. Our vehicles depart the National Park between 15:30 – 16:00 in order to arrive back in Johannesburg before sunset.
Roughly 45 minutes' drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, surrounded by the beautiful Magaliesberg mountain range, Hartbeespoort Dam, or Harties to locals, has become a hive of activity and is a very popular weekend getaway for the two cities.

We had an absolutely wonderful day and would like to sincerely thank the entire team for the excellent organization. Our hotel pick-up by our driver was absolutely punctual. We were greeted very warmly and were immediately asked how we were doing. Afterwards, guests from other hotels were picked up as well, and everything went smoothly and perfectly on time. During the drive, our driver continuously provided us with interesting information and explained where we were and which sights and attractions could be seen in the surrounding area. This made the journey itself a very pleasant and informative part of the experience. The handover at the game reserve was also perfectly organized. Our ranger was already waiting for us, so we were able to change vehicles without any problems. The entire game drive through the reserve was extremely well organized, and we felt very, very safe throughout the whole experience. Our ranger made a tremendous effort to show us as many animals and as much of the wildlife as possible. You could clearly see how dedicated and attentive he was and how much he cared about making the experience special for his guests. The local lunch afterwards was also very well organized and was absolutely delicious. We would also particularly like to mention the exceptional friendliness and politeness of all the staff. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel until the very end of the tour, we felt very well looked after and genuinely welcomed. An absolutely wonderful day from beginning to end! Both the hotel pick-up and the safari/game drive through the reserve were exceptionally well organized. We can therefore wholeheartedly and confidently recommend this tour.

The park was very big. We saw almost all the big five except for the lions. Our tour guide Mr. Petrus was very informative and fun. Also our pick up was on time and efficient. Mr. Sibu was very kind and helping.

Petrus was amazing! The experience was once in a life time good. We weren’t fortunate enough to see a lion today as they were all hiding but Petrus made the best of the situation and was very professional and funny! I will be back without a doubt!

Wonderful experience! We saw cheetah, rhinos (black and white), wildebeests, impalas, baboons, giraffes, elephants and hippos. That is amazing how if feels different from zoos and other places, where animals are good fed are close to see them. Watching them in this place feels right and how it should be - when you are a guest in their place.
