Itinerary
Perched high above the Sintra Mountains, Pena Palace is Portugal's most iconic fairytale castle and one of Europe's finest examples of 19th-century Romanticism. Its vibrant red and yellow towers, intricate Manueline carvings, Moorish influences, and Neo-Gothic architecture create an unforgettable silhouette overlooking the Atlantic coast. Once the summer residence of Portugal's royal family, the palace preserves lavishly decorated rooms, royal chambers, and elegant halls that transport visitors back to the final days of the monarchy. Surrounded by lush gardens filled with exotic plants, hidden pathways, serene lakes, and breathtaking viewpoints, Pena Palace offers spectacular panoramas stretching across Sintra and, on clear days, all the way to Lisbon. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a masterpiece where history, architecture, nature, and romance come together, making it an unmissable highlight of any journey through Portugal.
Nestled in the heart of the Sintra Mountains, Monserrate Palace is one of Portugal's most enchanting hidden gems. Blending Gothic, Moorish, and Indian-inspired architecture, this 19th-century masterpiece captivates visitors with its intricate arches, elegant domes, and beautifully decorated interiors. Once the summer retreat of British millionaire Sir Francis Cook, the palace reflects the Romantic spirit that made Sintra a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounding the palace are extraordinary botanical gardens featuring rare plants from every continent, tranquil waterfalls, exotic pathways, and breathtaking viewpoints. Far less crowded than other Sintra landmarks, Monserrate offers a peaceful and immersive experience where history, architecture, and nature come together. It is the perfect destination for those seeking beauty, tranquility, and one of Portugal's most unforgettable cultural treasures.
Cabo da Roca is where Europe ends and the Atlantic begins. Standing on dramatic cliffs rising over 140 metres (460 feet) above the ocean, you'll experience breathtaking panoramic views at the westernmost point of continental Europe. Once believed to be the edge of the known world, this iconic landmark inspired generations of Portuguese explorers before they set sail during the Age of Discoveries. Feel the power of the Atlantic waves crashing against the rugged coastline, breathe in the fresh ocean air, and capture unforgettable photos beside the famous stone monument marking this extraordinary location. Whether you're drawn by its history, natural beauty, or spectacular sunsets, Cabo da Roca is a place that perfectly captures the wild, untamed spirit of Portugal.
Once a humble fishing village and later the preferred summer retreat of the Portuguese royal family, Cascais is one of Portugal's most charming coastal towns. Stroll through its picturesque historic centre, where colourful streets, elegant architecture, boutique shops, and lively cafés create a relaxed seaside atmosphere. Admire the beautiful marina, golden sandy beaches, and scenic oceanfront promenade while discovering the town's rich maritime heritage. Cascais perfectly blends history, culture, and coastal beauty, making it an ideal place to unwind, enjoy fresh seafood, browse local artisan shops, or simply soak up the Atlantic breeze. Whether you're exploring its charming streets or enjoying the spectacular ocean views, Cascais offers an unforgettable taste of Portugal's sophisticated coastal lifestyle.

I loved the detailed explanation about the fascinating history of the Pena Palace. Without a doubt, it is one of the most stunning palaces in Portugal, both for its unique architecture and for the historical wealth it carries. The combination of the visit to the Pena Palace with the Palace of Monserrate was simply perfect. While the grandiosity and imposition of Pena impress every moment, the quiet atmosphere and the lush gardens of Monserrate provide a harmonious contrast, allowing you to appreciate two distinct but equally charming sides of the heritage of Sintra. It was undoubtedly the best of both worlds and an unforgettable experience.
Wonderfull, magic and very beautiful A lot of good information.

A great day in Sintra This was, without a doubt, one of the best tours of our trip to Portugal. The Peña Palace impresses with its colors and amazing views, but the great highlight for us was the Palace of Monserrate. It is a quiet place, with stunning gardens and much less busy, which made the visit even more special. The Cabo da Roca was simply spectacular. Being at the westernmost point of continental Europe, with those cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean in front of us, was an unforgettable moment. We ended the day in Cascais, a charming coastal village, perfect for walking and relaxing. Our guide was exceptional, very friendly, knowledgeable of history and always available to answer our questions. The small group made all the difference, making the experience much more comfortable and personalized. I recommend this tour to those looking to know the best of Sintra and the Portuguese coast without the stress of the large crowds.

Magnificent agency always available, offering very interesting and complete services and a super team!!❤️
This was easily one of the best experiences of our trip to Portugal. Monserrate Palace is absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens and fascinating architecture, while Pena Palace feels like something out of a fantasy novel. Francisco was an exceptional guide from beginning to end. His knowledge of Sintra’s history, symbolism, and hidden stories made every stop much more meaningful. Everything was perfectly organized, the timing was ideal, and we never felt rushed. I couldn’t recommend this tour more.
I loved the detailed explanation of the captivating history of Pena Palace; it is undoubtedly one of the most stunning palaces and sites in the entire country. Combined with Monserrate, it was the best of both worlds, as the peace that Monserrate Palace gave us was the perfect balance between these magnificent monuments.
