The Ponte Vecchio is a medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge over the Arno River, in Florence, Italy, noted for still having shops built along it, as was once common. Butchers initially occupied the shops; the present tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers. The Ponte Vecchio's two neighbouring bridges are the Ponte Santa Trinita and the Ponte alle Grazie.
Piazza del Duomo (English: "Cathedral Square") is located in the heart of the historic center of Florence, (Tuscany - Italy). It is one of the most visited places in Europe and the world and in Florence, the most visited area of the city. The square contains the Florence Cathedral with the Cupola del Brunelleschi, the Giotto's Campanile, the Florence Baptistery, the Loggia del Bigallo, the Opera del Duomo Museum, and the Arcivescovile and Canonici's palace. The west zone of this square is called Piazza San Giovanni.
Piazza della Signoria is an L-shaped square in front of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. It was named after the Palazzo della Signoria, also called Palazzo Vecchio. It is the main point of the origin and history of the Florentine Republic and still maintains its reputation as the political focus of the city. It is the meeting place of Florentines as well as the numerous tourists, located near Palazzo Vecchio and Piazza del Duomo and gateway to Uffizi Gallery.
Florence Cathedral, formally the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, is the cathedral of Florence, Italy (Italian: Duomo di Firenze). It was begun in 1296 in the Gothic style to a design of Arnolfo di Cambio and was structurally completed by 1436, with the dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. The exterior of the basilica is faced with polychrome marble panels in various shades of green and pink, bordered by white, and has an elaborate 19th-century Gothic Revival façade by Emilio De Fabris.
Piazzale Michelangelo (Michelangelo Square) is a square with a panoramic view of Florence, located in the Oltrarno district of the city.
The Palazzo Vecchio ("Old Palace") is the town hall of Florence. It overlooks the Piazza della Signoria with its copy of Michelangelo's David statue as well as the gallery of statues in the adjacent Loggia dei Lanzi.
Santa Maria Novella is a church in Florence, situated just across from the main railway station named after it.
Walk along the medieval streets and admire some of the masterpieces of Italian architecture. The centre of Florence is situated between Piazza San Marco, Piazza Santa Maria Novella, Santa Croce, and Santo Spirito.
The construction of the palace was begun in 1489 for Filippo Strozzi the Elder, a rival of the Medici. Palazzo Strozzi is an example of civil architecture with its rusticated stone, inspired by the Palazzo Medici, but with more harmonious proportions. Unlike the Medici Palace is a free-standing structure.

It was an amazing experience and Loure (Our Guide for the tour) was very knowledgeable and took personal interest in showing us around every place in detail. Thank you very much for this beautiful experience.
Thank you for this wonderful review! Lorie is happy to receive such positive feedback, and we're also very happy to hear that you truly enjoyed the tour in the beautiful Florence and Pisa.
The tour was very informative, our tour guide Vittoria was very friendly and professional. There were a few others in the group that were a bit difficult, but she made sure that our experience wasn't effected by them. Vittoria was very informative and was happy to answer any questions we had. We're a family visiting from Australia and would recommend this to all our friends
We had an excellent day trip to Florence with Max as our driver/guide. It was a private tour and he picked us up at our door. Besides taking us to all the major churches and buildings, Max constantly pointed out the symbols and designs that were important to understanding the city and the Medici family. He did a wonderful job of conveying the sense of the times when these buildings were constructed. It is a full day tour with 6 hours in a car (a lot better than a bus) but well worth it.
