You will see Greek and Roman sculptures and the sarcophagi of Empress Helena and Constantina, the mother and daughter of Constantine the Great. Our family tour with Claudia was Awesome! She is a wonderful and informative guide. Claudia was caring and patient with the slower members of the family as well as kept my 7 y.o. granddaughter engaged. I don't know if you can request her as a tour guide, but book this tour!
Our guide Francesco made the tour memorable. He kept our kids (8 and 10) interested throughout the tour. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and I definitely recommend him and the tour to families.
From the outset, the tour guide Francesco was brilliant and quickly got the boys interested in treasure hunts and searching for items/images around the site. Francesco quickly tapped into what our children liked and was able to link their likes into areas in the Vatican. Our tour guide was able to answer questions and explained the stories (history) behind the art and artists and weaved the history through before finishing at St Peter's. The site itself was amazing and i could have spent all day there apart from two tired 5&7 yr olds. So much history and art. Pick up from our private apartment was on time and we had no problems with getting to the Vatican or getting inside. This was definitely value for money and i highly recommend. I would do this again even if i didn't have the kids.
