Our guide was great! She added a lot of information while keeping everyone engaged. Very knowledgeable and personable. Invited questions and paced the tour to our group.
Tommaso was our tour guide and was amazing. He had worked in the Coliseum for many years and pointed out things that no other guides were because of his intimate knowledge and experience. He was funny and enjoyed his company. His knowledge was fascinating and not one question we had was left unanswered. He is an archaeologist and his impression on my 19 year old son is making him consider becoming an archaeologist! Great tour and amazing guide!
Raffy was excellent. Her extensive historical knowledge of the Colosseum and Forum was tailored well to the small group. Our 15 year old is studying classics, and Raffy was able to answer his quite specific questions. She also did the best she could on a very hot day to ensure we were not baked alive.
Paola was a knowledgeable, professional, interesting guide and I had a fantastic time. Worth every penny.
Francesco was an amazing tour guide. He took his time to explain everything and give us all the highlights of ancient Rome. I highly recommend this private tour!
Our local guide was extremely knowledgeable. We loved her pride and enthusiasm for Rome and its history.
A friend and I did this Colosseum/Forum tour with Francesco recently, and it was fantastic! We had hoped to do the ‘Rome in a Day’ tour, but All Saints Day made it impossible for us to get Vatican tickets. This was a great substitute. Francesco met us at the Colosseum Metro station. (Tip: if you walk or take a taxi, you may end up at the upper exit to the Metro station - all you need to do is enter the Metro doors and walk down a few steps to find your guide.) He then led us on a friendly, thorough tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Forum. It was like having a particularly knowledgeable friend with us for the journey. At the end Francesco left us on our own to explore additional parts of the Forum, making sure that we knew how to get back to our hotel. Highly recommend!
The first tour we went in was The Vatican and it was fabulous! We learned so much from Tommaso! He was engaging, allowed us enough time to see all the amazing sites but got us right past the lines with no waiting! Our second tour was also with Tomas at the Colosseum! We ended up having a private tour - just the 3 of us and again he did an amazing job. We were able to ask all our questions and see so many interesting parts of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. We would highly recommend these professional and informative tours!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun for my 9 year old and us! We would book with them again!
We booked this Small Group Tour via Trip Adviser before we went to Rome & are so glad we did. When we arrived at the meeting point we realised it would be just our tour guide Francesco & the 2 of us!! Francesco was very informative, he really knew his stuff, & really entertaining. 3 hours of fascinating facts & good fun. Do not hesitate to book this tour, thoroughly recommend. Thank you Francesco for a great morning !
