The ancient town was covered by ashes of the Mount Vesuvius eruption in 79 A.C. and has been captivating archaeologists from all over the world, since the excavations began. Walking through the extensive ruins of Pompeii with your personal tour guide you’ll see Mount Vesuvius from a distance. After a nice lunch in a typical trattoria in Pompeii your private driver we'll take you to Mount Vesuvius where there will be a special off-road vehicle that will passes through the National Park. You'll need to walk once there on top of the crater. The driver will take you to the ancient Road “Matrone”, leading you through the National Park of the Mt. Vesuvius till 1050 mt. above the sea level. From there you will have access to the crater, and enjoy a spectacular view over the bay of Naples, the Sorrentine Peninsula. We'll pick you up in Rome in the morning. Your Private English speaking driver will welcome you in our Luxury Mercedes Van A/C to drive you to Pompeii. It will take 2 hours and 30 minutes to get to Pompeii from Rome. Your driver will introduce you to your local private guide in Pompeii. He or She will take you for 2 hours to visit the ruins of Pompeii. After Visiting Pompeii, you'll have time for a nice Pizza in Pompeii before to drive to Mt Vesuvius. There will be steps to do once the driver will drop you off near the entrance of the Park.

After visiting Pompeii your driver will take you to the entrance of the Mt. Vesuvius Park. It will take abour 30, 40 minutes to reach the top of mt vesuvius. Your driver will show you the entrance and he will give you the tickets. This is an Italian national park centered on the active volcano Vesuvius, southeast from Naples. The park was founded on June 5, 1995, and covers an area of around 135 square kilometers all located within the Province of Naples. You will spend 2 hours walking up and down to Mt. Vesuvius to see the crater. It is centered on the active volcano and its most ancient (now inactive) crater, Monte Somma. It houses 612 vegetable species and 227 wildlife ones. You will meet your driver at the same place to start the drive back to rome at your hotel or location. It will take about 3 hours to go back to Rome from Mt. Vesuvius.

Pompeii

It was a pleasure to meet and be guided by Elvira. She is a local guide and is very knowledgeable. Our driver, Marco, was safe as well as helpful in choosing a restaurant for lunch. Yum!!
