Itinerary
Early in the morning you will be transferred to airplane terminal from your hotel for a flight to Izmir. Upon your arrival to Izmir, we will welcome and transfer you to the office for a full day Ephesus Tour. You'll visit House of Virgin Mary, is a place where, according to the beliefs of many people Mary, the mother of Jesus, spent the last years of her life.
The Templeof Artemis was built on sacred grounds for the Greek goddess Artemis. Artemis was the twin of Apollo and daughter to Zeus and Leto. She represented abundance, hunting and all things wild. Citizens would find refuge, safety and comfort in the temple. Based on recent archeologist's findings, evidence shows a flood destroyed the original Temple of Artemis.
Celsus Library is one of the most beautiful structures in Ephesus. Celcius Library was built in 117 A.D. Celsus Library was a monumental tomb for Gaius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus, the governor of the province of Asia; from his son Galius Julius Aquila. The grave of Celsus was beneath the ground floor, across the entrance and there was a statue of Athena over it. Because Athena was the goddess of the wisdom.
Visit to Trajan Brothel and Grand Theatre.
The Odeion of Ancient Ephesus was financed by a wealthy citizen named Vedius Antonius. It has a semi-circular shape, just like a small theatre. It had gradines divided into diazomas and two corridors on each side let people access the higher seats. There was also an orchestra and a podium.
The Terrace Houses in Ephesus consists of luxurious residential houses, next to Curetes Street and opposite the Temple of Hadrian. Three terraces were established around 200 BC on the slope of the latter Terrace Houses, by using massive stone walls. On the northernmost terrace, a representative dwelling house was already built in the 1st century BS, whereas on the other ones a handicraft quarter developed. In the course of the erection of the Roman Dwelling Units, the Hellenistic constructions were demolished and leveled. Please note that this attraction visit is optional.

I enjoyed my day trip to Ephesus from Istanbul. All the travel arrangements including flights and car service went smoothly. One meet-up glitch was quickly solved with a call to the phone number provided. My trip started at my hotel in Istanbul at 4:30 am and ended back at the hotel at 11 pm. It was a very long day but well worth it because of the exposure to St. Mary's House, the city of Ephesus, and Artemus' temple. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I got the experience that I expected. The buffet lunch was adequate. However, I did not appreciate the two stops for "commercials" with high pressure sales. If I wanted to shop, I would have booked a shopping trip. We stopped at a tea, candy, and herbal store that did not interest me at all. Then we stopped at a "fashion show" that was a high pressure sale pitch for leather coats and jackets. The products were nice but the prices were very high and kept getting lower the more I said that I wasn't interested. A sure sign that they are overpriced. The salesman pressured me try on 2 jackets and said they fit well, however neither jacket buttoned up the front or had room across the shoulders. The jackets are lined with Dior and other brand name trademark printed fabric which the salesman admitted were not authentic. I would not purchase anything from a business that steals trademarks for a profit. They also had lots of knockoff brand name handbags. Basically, the trip was good value for money but the next time I book with Viator, I will make sure the trip does not include high pressure sales.
The transfer well but the fairly regular and inaccessible guide gave him many obstacles to go to the museum and instead took us to sites selling fur items and groceries ????

In a very spiritual place the visit to the virgin. Full of peace and history, for Catholics very spiritual. If you go cabin is small like those of The time. There's a wish mural where you put your wishes on paper. If you're fulfilled. You have to thank him again. It can be done in the day because you make a flight by plane. And you have to get up early. The best would be 2. But in our case we couldn't. Then the tour of Ephesus on a time trip to where you see the ingenuity of the Romans and Turks. These are real engineering works. Something monumental. The guide very attentive and knowledgeable of all the topics. They take you to a couture leather factory at an affordable price. Lunch is buffet and you can order extras on your own
Our guide, Merve, was super nice and gave us a lot of information about the sites that we visited. However, I was disappointed because I was under the impression that the tour would end at 430 or 445, instead, it ended at 330. The reason I am disappointed by this is that we DID NOT visit the Isa Bey Mosque which was part of the program. I think that that was an important part of the tour and maybe we could have spent 20 minutes there. We even drove by it. We could have spent less time at the leather store and visit the Mosque. Disappointing.
I loved the service you provided. Quality first, punctuality, everything went as promised. I was always answered as I had any doubts, On the day of the tour still if Tahsin kept counting with me in the concern if everything is okay, reinforcing where they were waiting for me. Tahsin very polite and helpful. Made a difference in the care. Super indico.
We arranged two tours with Travel Tips. We could not have had a better experience. Tashim was so easy to work with and always returned our messages quickly, professionally and thoroughly. I would use them again and again and again
Amazing. It was a trip of a lifetime. I would not have though in my Wildest dreams that it would be so amazing Thankyou tahsin for helping me
The trip was smooth and well organised. Thanks to Tahsin, who constantly sends info and reminders to ensure a pleasant tour.
Quite an easy, smooth process; nothing to worry about from beginning to end. The guide is quite knowledgeabl. Wonderful tour!
Given how my trip to Istanbul was shaping up, I didn't think I would get to Ephesus. Luckily, I did. The tour was very good and the flight and transfers to the airport all went smoothly for the most part. Recommended if your time is limited and you want to see the amazing ruins of Ephesus. The only thing I would recommend is upgrading the lunch buffet.
