Exceptiona experience with a personable chef. Our family felt this was a highlight of our trip and the food was delicious.
Thank you so much for spending an afternoon togheter 😊
It was AMAZING! Our host was kind, patient and so informative. We learned how to make appetizers, past and dessert and all were delicious. We can’t wait to share this with our friends and family at home!
Our evening with Gianni and Cesare was a highlight of our week in Rome. We were fortunate to be in a small group of four and had so much fun, learned a lot, and created (with our hosts’ assistance ) a wonderful meal of which to be proud. Gianni is charming, skilled and very personable. I would definitely recommend booking this great experience!
We are only on day 2!!!! This was so amazing and exciting. If you like to cook This is for you. All high quality ingredients and we loved our chefs! We learned so much yet the conversation and good comaraderie was excellent. To meet such nice people in an intimate setting making great food and great wine. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
We booked Gianni & Cesare — Cook It With Us in Rome and honestly had one of our best nights in Italy. Gianni (owner and executive chef) is the kind of host you hope for - warm, funny, totally in control—backed by two sous-chefs who keep things humming. Nothing felt rushed or fussy; it was relaxed but somehow precise. Our glasses never went empty, and we were very well fed. The food: we started with tomatoes caramelized in what I’m pretty sure was the best olive oil we had all trip. Then pasta from scratch - silky fettuccine and a curled shape (I’m blanking on the name - maybe mafalde?) - plus zucchini flowers stuffed with mozzarella and anchovies. The sauce was rustic and perfect, and we finished with tiramisù with a hit of Marsala. Simple, beautiful, memorable. What made it special wasn’t just how good everything tasted; it was how much we learned without feeling like we were in “class.” Gianni explains technique, tells stories, and somehow makes a room of strangers feel like friends. Price felt right for the quality and the whole experience. If I had one tiny note: come hungry. Portions are generous, and you won’t want to leave anything behind. Otherwise, no notes—just book it. These are remarkable chefs, and it was a night we’ll be talking about for a long time.
We had such an amazing time in this cooking class!!! The food was amazing!!! Such a fun thing to do when in Rome!!!! I highly recommend!!!
We did this cooking class with our 12 year old granddaughter! What a great evening and amazing food. Gianni & Cesare are the best!
Thank you so much! It was such a pleasure having you and your granddaughter in the class. We’re so glad you all enjoyed the evening—and the food! We had a great time cooking with you and hope to welcome you back to the kitchen whenever you’re in Rome again! Un grande abbraccio, Gianni & Cesare 🍝👨🍳✨
OK... this was outstanding. A trip to Rome in the summer with our college-aged daughters isn't complete without a cooking class to see how it's done properly.... especially when the air conditioning game is played at such a high level. Gianni and his team of chefs did a great job with the 4 in our group and another family of 4 with younger kids. He kept us all entertained and busy while teaching us how to really make the dishes like an Italian. There was enough prosecco to keep you cooking and enough wine to wash it all down while eating. Can't say enough great things about the time we spent doing this. I even made the artichoke dish last night and it tasted almost as good as the one we made there.... but everything tastes better in Italy. Grazie mille!
We had so much fun learning to cook. Gianni Is the best and a great teacher. The food and wine were excellent. I definitely recommend this to anyone thinking about it!!
Fun afternoon of cooking, drinking and eating. Highly recommended - small group size and great instructor. Nice balance of cooking and watching.
Thanks so much for the great review! We’re really glad you had fun cooking, eating, and hanging out with us. It was awesome having you in the group—hope to see you again next time you’re in town!
