Both the colosseum and...

Both the colosseum and the Hill were fun to explore - lots of walking but you could take your time and let it sink it all in.

Bad experience

The description of the tour indicated that the Colosseum tour would be led by a live guide, with audio guide for the forum and Palatine Hill. I chatted with an agent who confirmed my interpretation. They write "This 1:15-hour guided tour with access to the Colosseum through the Gladiators' Gate; our professional guide will take ancient history back to life. you will join a small group of average 18 participants (maximum 24 people) and discover stories and anecdotes on Roman Emperors, Senators and Gladiators. You will depart from our office where you will receive personal headsets for a better listening to the guide and be introduced to our passionate guide and you will discover Ancient Rome!. " None of this is true. They promised to give access to download the audio guide app and commentary in advance. This never happened.

Wifi/mobile data required audio guide

This is not a handset audio guide. This is an audio guide via app on the phone needing mobile data use. No wifi on site. The Colloseum also has an audio guide via app available when you enter the site but without charge.

Operator response

Thanks for your review, but before purchasing the ticket with digital audio device you must read the instructions. Thanks

Not worth the money!

Getyourguide is way to expensive. The audio guide requires a special level on your mobile which older mobiles (4 years!) do not have. So no chance for audio support. No guidance inside the colloseum. No info about other entrances at foro romano with waiting lines. No map of foro romano at all. Without audio guide you have no benefit from buying GetYourGuide.

Bad bad bad tour

The tour agent was LATE, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL , did I mention, rude !! He was horrible and TAJ was hard to find . The audio tour was not worth it and it was an overall bad experience. Viator needs to not use this organization or person if they want happy people .
