We used Touriststation over three days for different locations and everything went perfectly. The guides were not just the usual informative types but gave us very interesting background context on every topic. Highly recommend and thank you Touristation!

Our booking was cancelled by the tour operator a couple of weeks prior to the tour date due to “a technical error” which caused overbooking. We were offered to pay extra $40 per person to be updated to the guided tour, or to exchange tickets for another, less popular Doria Pamphilj art gallery. We declined both offers. To be fair to the tour operator, we got the prompt refund. Unfortunately, since the cancellation was made close to the date of the tour, we weren’t able to find any available tickets through any tour operators or booking sites.
The ticket process worked well but we were not informed that the Borghese is currently undergoing major renovations. If you check the Borghese gallery website they state that but the third party sellers do not. The second floor is completely closed. If you want to see the complete collection you must walk 20 minutes to the Palazzo Barberini and pay 5 more euros. I think this should be disclosed because you are already paying twice as much to get the 3rd party tickets. The Barberini is wonderful too so I'm not sorry I went but full disclosure would be appreciated.
TOURISTATION/VIATOR cancelled our tickets less than a week before our visit. Of course by then we were traveling and it was too late to get any ticket to the gallery. They claimed it was due to a software glitch. Lessons learned: 1. Avoid Viator at all costs, they are worse than scalpers - unless you prefer to have your plans ruined 2. Try very hard to book through the gallery's own website as early as possible.
The tour itself was outstanding our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. However there were some logistical problems, the tour was supposed to start at 3pm but didn’t start until 4pm. We paid for a small group tour( 6 people or less) there were 16 of us on the tour.
Great tour guide. It was hard to find Viator to meet the guide. They should have vests or banners so you can find them. Otherwise ok.
We had booked this tour in March 2024. We arrived at 2:40 PM for our 3:00 PM tour and was told that the tour had changed to 2:30. The guide told me that an email had been sent to us the day before! with the new time. I never received a request asking that this time change was convenient for us. Anyway, she told that since we arrived at 2:40, there was nothing she could do, not even to give us an entrance ticket without a tour. We also found it bizarre that she did not have the 2:30 ticket to show us. We were extremely disappointed that the opportunity to see this gallery was taken away from us. Since we were leaving the next day, no other tour could be booked. EXTREMELY disappointed.
Our guide Silvia was incredible. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. As a former art student it was lovely to see the pieces I had studied in person and have them explained in a historical context.
The Bernini sculptures/ beautiful masterpieces!!!! The guide provided much background on these sculptures as well as the Caravaggio's paintings.
It was a bit chaotic to find the person holding our tickets. Read the description carefully. This is just skip-the-line tickets and does not include a guided walk thru
