Academically I am a biologist, in life I am wine producer, writer, food expert, & cultural traditionalist. I have over 5 years experience in wine production. Currently writing a guide book about the city based on my blog, which I will share with you. My biggest pleasure is Portugal and its Wine. I was Born and have lived here for 15 years and quickly fell in love with its gastronomy & culture. I want you to experience Portugal the way I see it and I'm sure you will fall for its oenological beauty also.

Had a fantastic food tour with luis, around the center of Porto. He took us to some fantastic restaurants where we sampled a diverse set of meats pared with delicious green wines. Luis was a gracious and entertaining host with a broad array of information about the producers and foodstuffs that we were sampling. We also got a tour of the market and one or two other well-chosen locations. Highly recommend this perfectly balanced tour. The food was excellent, plenty of it, and pairs with delicious wines.
We had a great experience with Luis, he was very knowledgeable of the local wines and everything was delicious. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!
Would highly recommend the natural wine tasting with Luis! It was interesting to learn how different grape-growing conditions and processing methods bring out specific tastes and sensations in wine. The wines Luis selected were all excellent — we especially loved the pét-nat, which fortunately for us we were able to get at the bar next door, as it’s their house pét-nat. We ended up getting a few more bottles there afterwards! The experience was elevated by the minimal yet delicious snacks prepared by chef Keneth. We absolutely fell in love with the venue — a bookstore with an art gallery (Térmita) next to a bar (Café Candelabro), founded by Miguel and Hugo. It created a pleasant ambiance and a truly unique atmosphere. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening, gained a deeper insight into Portugal’s natural wines, and discovered a great spot we’ll definitely return to on our next visit to Porto.
