Big Bus Rome Panoramic Night Tour

The seats are very small. We are not large people (couple, each less than 65 kg) and had trouble fitting into 2 seats. The audio/headsets sometimes worked, sometimes did not. The brochure said that every bus was air conditioned. It was 30-35 C when we were there and I'm not sure there was a/c. Maybe it just couldn't keep up. But that really didn't help when we were so very hot. We stayed on the first level because the top level seemed like it would be too hot. That, of course, is weather dependent. We took 3 rides during our 1 day ticket. Twice we had the same driver who didn't remove his eyes from his phone during stops unless he absolutely had to and then was then surly. The other driver was friendly. Buses came often. We probably shouldn't have bought HOHO tickets as we knew where we wanted to go and were just using the buses as transportation. The buses don't leave you off near the sites. It was at least 3 km from the bus stop to the Vatican Museum. The other walks to the sites were similar. For our last journey, we took a taxi as the bus had already stopped running (at 7 pm). Since there were 2 of us, it probably would have been cheaper to take taxis for each trip and certainly more time efficient, cooler, and involve less walking. If you are open to taking a full loop to see the sites and then go around again to what you want to see, I could see how HOHO bus could be a good option. I just still wouldn't take the Big Bus. I saw other HOHO buses with what looked like much more comfortable seats.

Not worth it at all if you are on the bottom of the bus. Waste of money!!! We got there 15 minutes early and there were no seats left. City is under construction so you really can’t see much if you’re at the bottom

To start, a guide who speaks very little Italian, which obviously creates problems. An excursion that doesn't even come close to the Vatican, quickly glimpsed through the trees. Angelo, without even being able to take a photo. The tour takes place mainly in the park of Villa Borghese while the recording praises the wonders of the zoo. It is advisable for those who have no other choice due to mobility issues. A special thanks to the GetYourGuide app for forcing the download; otherwise, you do not have the vouchers (it is not enough to show the purchase). Because of which I personally saw a gentleman give up and leave, and the two foreign girls repurchase the tickets on the spot.

Earphones are provided for the tour, be sure to use them. All the major sites are visited. The tour was listed as 45 minutes but lasted 1hr 10 mins. Overall excellent value for money, I will highly recommend.

Loads to see - different than the hop-on, hop-off experience in the daytime. Same recording playing, but things looked more romantic at night with the buildings illuminated.

What a great way too see rome all lit up at night. A whole different perspective. Would do again. Hold onto your hat!

You must arrive early. We were ten minutes before departure and had to sit downstairs. Nobody told us where the headphones were or how to plug them in, so we missed at least half of the audio. I ended up asking the driver too late. Upstairs is probably better. Downstairs we could not see well. Indeed, one of the couples seated downstairs asked to get off the bus.

This was great. I loved it because it was at night. Cool and no traffic. No hopping. Just a nice your. The only trouble Was the taxi stand drivers wanting double prices. Uber much better!!! I loved this more than No N golf cart. It had music, info, and fun! Our golf cart was 5 x price and boring. Also golf cart goes through side streets but it is filled with graffiti and trash. I would rather be on a clean street for busses!

Something great to do at night to see all the lights and learn lots of interesting things about the city of Rome. It was fun, entertaining and a good price.
