Best Private 4-Hour City Tour of Colosseum and Rome Highlights

We had a great morning at the Colosseum. You have to see this to believe it. The tour was well organized and the guide is a genuinely attentive and well-informed lady. We relied on her and the support staff to make sure that everything goes well. We are certainly NOT disappointed. The cost was well worth it and compares well with other tours we researched.

Our guide Guiseppe and our two drivers (we were a big group) arrived on time to our hotel to take us to the Colosseum. The transfer went very smooth and Guiseppe has our tickets ready for us, so we didn't have to think about anything other than our experience. He guided us efficiently into the Colosseum, giving us the best placement for photos. Once inside Guiseppe had us transfixed the entire time, telling us the history of the Colosseum, from it's beginnings to its use throughout the ages. After the Colosseum we went to see Palatine Hill and Forum Romana, with Guiseppe always remembering to keep us in the shade (it was a very hot day) and stopping for bathroom breaks. After a quick drive to the city center we stopped for lunch on Piazza Navona. The rest of the tour we were walking around the city, seeing the main attractions such as Trevi fountain, the Spanish steps, the Pantheon and much, much more. We had a lovely day with Guiseppe and our drivers and I would highly recommend this tour.

It was all great, the best way to get to know the Rome of the Empire, we enjoyed it a lot and also learned a lot. The guide very good and the private car a luxury.

Omg!! What an amazing tour! We toured after flying in from NY..a bit jet lagged so can’t remember the name of the tour guide or driver ..both awesome!! We hit all the key points plus more. She even got us over to the Vatican and we saw the pope from the window. Added bonus! Tour is a bit expensive however worth it for the private transport and tour guide . Great way to see Rome pre cruise! Thank you!!!!

We have just finished the tour ! It’s was wonderful. The driver was very very helpful through the tour with my elderly parents and he parked very close of the sights for us ! As for the guide ! WOW ! Her French was just perfect, she provided a lot of explanations, had pictures to illustrate how the monuments were in past vs now ! She was very easygoing and offered to take pictures of us. I never had a private tour before and I loved every minute of it. I strongly recommend your service.

By far the best way to see the most popular spots in Rome! Lena did an excellent job with lots of information, stories and interesting facts! Our driver was phenomenal navigating the crazy traffic! She was safe, calm, but got us where we needed to be!

Did this tour on June 21, 2023. We modified our tour from the planned itinerary to suit our needs at the time. Our tour guide Eva and driver Franko were both excellent, incredibly adaptive and accommodating and went above and beyond to satisfy our various requests to make it a relaxed, enjoyable and memorable experience for us. Great and wonderful tour around the sights and various parts of the city. Very nice to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel at the end of our tour.

Eva was a wonderful guide. We didn't just see the city, we learned a bit more of its history. A great experience.

We wanted to show some of the highlights of Rome to our two grandsons, ages 12 and 13, but had limited time before we boarded our cruise ship the next day. This 4-hour tour accomplished that mission. They picked us up at our hotel and drove us in an air-conditioned Mercedes van straight to the Colosseum. Our tour guide, Leena Knuuttila, was amazing. She had a depth of knowledge about the history of the Colosseum and kept the boys interested with little known facts and stories. She showed us illustrations of the way it looked and evolved over time and even had a clip of the movie Ben-Hur on her tablet to show the boys what a chariot race looked like. They then drove us to the Pantheon where Leena spend some time explaining how it was transformed from a pagan place of worship to a Christian church. We had brief a brief stop at the Spanish steps and finished up at the Trevi Fountain where we all threw coins over our left shoulders, insuring that we would visit Rome once again. We finished up with a delicious gelato and a ride back to our hotel in time for dinner. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you have a limited amount of time in Rome and want to enjoy the highlights..
