During our Assisi Day Tour you’ll have the chance to learn more about the history of S. Francis and of the Christian world. Your English-speaking driver will pick you up at your accommodation and will take you directly in Assisi at the meeting point with your private licensed tour guide, who will guide you around for a 2hrs visit of one of the most famous Christian locations of Italy. This is a wonderful and peaceful experiences, where you will regenerate all your sense. Umbria region is also an important destination for food and wine lovers, so in Assisi you’ll have also the chance to taste the local dishes and the famous delicious wine! The view of the countryside from Assisi hill will leave you breath-taking. Your day tour will begin when your English-Speaking Driver will pick you up directly at your accommodation In Rome. You will be chauffeured to the gorgeous town of Assisi, hometown of S. Francesco.
At your arrival in Assisi, you’ll meet your English-speaking licensed tour guide. You will embark in a guided towards the most magical Basilicas and locations of Assisi. The religious town known as the birthplace of Saint Francis has beautiful churches including the Saint Francis Basilica where the Saint’s remains are kept, and is also home to intricate frescoes painted by Giotto and Cimabue. With your guide, you’ll enter inside the Basilica and you’ll be amused by the beauty and the peace of this place. Have a look to the Basilica of Santa Chiara, you’ll reach Piazza del Comune with Minerva Temple. You’ll have an external view of Palazzo dei Priori, of the home of the father of San Frencis, many little streets, squares and medieval locations. If there is time left, have a quick stop at wonderful church of Santa Maria degli Angeli and continue your tour along the little streets of Assisi center.

Spend an hour in Assisi to have a walk in the beautiful town, relax and maybe do some shopping. You’ll have your driver at your disposal.

WOW!!! Our driver Beatrice was outstanding; we couldn’t imagine anything more one could hope for. She was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and kind, with an infectious enthusiasm. Trip was executed perfectly. Pickup at hotel (AirBnB) was flawless. Guide was informative and ensured that we saw everything we expected to see. Only suggestion for improvement would be to allow a few extra minutes to shop some of the excellent-looking stores that Assisi offers.

It was the first tour we took during our stay in Rome. Beautiful tour which is worth doing. Alex our driver very professional and always punctual gave us info along the way. In Assisi we met our tour guide Maria Rita. She was amazing with loads of detailed info. This tour was not our first with Great Italy. They never disappoint.
