Positano is considered the pearl of the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Nestled in the mountains and overlooking the turquoise sea, Positano is a very attractive tourist destination: it boasts a postcard view from the sea, it’s a place that seems specially designed to amaze and inspire emotion. Positano is there, with its small houses and steps where getting lost is a delightful experience, the narrow streets leading to historic mansions, fashionable boutiques and breathtaking views. Shopping and Lunch Time.
The Grotta of Smeraldo (tickets included) known as well with the name of "Emerald Cave" was named after the characteristic green light inside the cave. It is caused by natural sunlight from outside which enters the cave through an underground passage, which connects the salt water lake in the huge chamber with the sea outside. The water filters the sunlight and only green wave lengths reach the cave. You will enter the cave through an artificial tunnel. Inside there is a jetty with numerous wooden boats. The boat ride is the actual tour, so after a short look around you may enter the next boat and enjoy the calm gliding of the motorless boat. In rare cases, of very bad weather and sea conditions entrances to Emerald Grotto could be cancelled, from official management, in this case, outside our control, you will spend more time to visit the Amalfi Coast panoramic views. No refund is due.

The guide’s knowledge (Giovani) of the areas we visited and answered most questions we had. He was charming, attentive and pretty funny at times. He made our experience a good one. The Emerald Gratta was the highlight along with Positano. Not sure the lemoncello tasting was worth the stop. The Buffalo Mozzarella was fantastic stop if you want authentic Italian goodies. Would loved more time in Positano.

It was a delightful day. We enjoyed every stop along the way... from the Buffalo Mozzarella, to the Lemoncello, to the beautiful and delicious lunch at a beachfront restaurant in Positano, to the breathtaking views all along the Amalfi coast.
We LOVED this day trip with Johnny. It was a beautiful drive and Johnny was very informative. Along the day trip, we stopped for buffalo mozzarella, which was delicious and also stop for a limoncello tasting. Its a must when you visit the area!
