Get close and personal with Sicily’s most famous volcano on this six-hour, small-group tour. Set off from Taormina — hotel pickups and drop-offs in the vicinity are included upon request — and arrive at Mount Etna, where you’ll spend the day walking through craters, exploring a lava cave, and learning about the volcano’s past eruptions at max. 2000 meters of altitude. Afterwards, you will be provided with a snack, complemented by wine, a little dessert and a sweet wine taste.

We really enjoyed our tour of Mount Etna. Diego was a fantastic guide and provided a lot of knowledge during our hike through the craters and lava tube. The wine tasting at the end was delightful.
Great experience. Pick up was on time. Luca was nothing but superb as a guide and absolutely full of knowledge. If I come back to Sicily I will definitely be doing this again and go higher up.
The trip was well organized, and our guide, Daniel, was awesome! Picking us up from our hotel was so nice, it made the trip so much easier. The lava tubes were really amazing and the walk up to the craters was pretty easy. Only feedback is that the snack needed to be a bit more substantial. And the sesame ‘cookies’ were not sweet—more like a breadstick. After all the walking, we needed a bit more.
A truly amazing day. The guide was a scholar - so knowledgeable about every aspect of Mt Etna, volcanoes, local culture, etc. This was the highlight of our trip to Sicily. Lunch and wine we're also quite good.
We had a brilliant trip to Mt Etna today. Roberto, our guide, was such a passionate, knowledgeable, helpful and kind guide. He is a master of his trade and we were highly impressed by his professionalism and guidance throughout. A tour not to be missed!
What a fun excursion! We are a family of five with varying ages of adults and we all loved it. Giuseppe was our guide and was so knowledgeable and kind. We spent a bit hiking around Mount Etna, we checked out the lava tubes and finished at a pretty winery. Overall, we had a really great time. 10/10 would recommend.

Very enjoyable trip. Luca was an excellent guide - very considerate to all the group and very knowledgeable about Mt Etna, the flora and fauna and the geology around the area. The wine tasting and lunch was very nice and there was no pressure to buy anything if you didn't want to. All in all, very recommended.
From start to finish the tour was fantastic. Roberto was knowledgeable, accommodating, enthusiastic and hiked at a good pace. The scenery was stunning and finished it all off with a light snack and a good class of Vino.
We had such a brilliant time on this half-day tour. Our guide, Daniele, a biologist, was knowledgeable to the nth degree… and very funny! We learned an incredible amount of fascinating facts on volcanic activity, flora and fauna, Sicily's history, and Daniele's lovely grandmother. The walk on Etna was fab (not too tricky, even for us in our sixties). Daniele provided us with the most comfortable walking boots… and sticks if we desired (we desired!) We were offered layers, but we actually didn't need them, as the day was windless and the temperature was perfect for walking. Our little group of seven blended really well, and we had a great chat later at the winery as we scoffed our Italian rolls, wine and soft drinks. The pick-ups and drop-offs were perfect — bang on time, and Daniele went above and beyond to drop everyone off safely at the end of the tour. I would highly recommend this Mount Etna Half-Day Small Group Tour. I'd safely say it was the highlight of our week in Sicily. Praise indeed!
