As we make our way to the Plantation site guests will see such sites as the marsh of Lake Pontchartrain, and an elevated expressway going through the Louisiana swamp. Also see what the Corp of Engineers are doing to prevent the next Hurricane Katrina catastrophe. You will also see such plantations as Evergreen where they film Queen Sugar the new mini series on the OWN and 12 years a slave.

Pickup Locations & Times
We pick up from most hotels in the downtown area if your hotel is not listed pick the location nearest to you. All guest will have a pick up window up between 8 AM and 8:30 AM. We always suggest everyone be ready for 8 AM sharp. Your driver has to make a series of stops at different locations..

I booked a ticket & transportation stood at the pick up location until it was clear no one was coming, got in touch with Crescent City tours who said it was canceled due to weather, but couldn’t refund my $78. Called the number I was given but no answer. Still haven’t received my money. Now I’m using the dang comment section as a customer service line. Booking #1412131469
Why would you leave a review like that? When I clearly let you know, we were completely powerless. And that I would do everything in my power to help you get a refund. I even gave you a phone number to call. And now you trash my company. The only way we can extend full refunds is if a customer directly books with us. If not, we faced the same issue, we have to go through third parties to extend refunds the same way that you do to book Tours, There are so many third parties that sell our tours. This is so wrong. I understand your frustration, but my hands are tied. This is so wrong on so many levels. If I could, I would give you a refund out of my pocket to avoid bad reviews. This is not who we are as a company. And after seeing your review, I immediately tried to call you back to continue helping you get your refund, but you didn’t answer the phone. As a matter of fact, you sent me to voicemail. I don’t know what more I could’ve done in this situation. I’m completely powerless. But this is so wrong on so many levels when I did everything I could to help you get a refund. This is so wrong and I’m heartbroken. I was a Tour guide for another company for 14 years. The primary reason I started Crescent City Tours was because I didn’t agree with the customer service policies So for you to come here and question, our integrity as a company is almost offensive.. These are the things that I lose sleep over as a business owner. All of us need to make a living. I have people that I employ but money was never the motivation for me.., We love what I do over here! And we are extremely proud of who we are as a company. And to anyone reading this review, I promise you and this is coming from the owner. You can expect the highest level of customer service from us!
Very moving. Learned a lot that is not completely taught in the classroom, but everyone should take note. USA claims to be so great, but we do have some very disgusting history.

First, pick a nice day. You'll be outside 95% of the time. Second, pick your tour package carefully. Some may just be a ride, others, like mine with Crescent City Tours, was fun filled and very informational not only on where we were going but what has happened in the area. Being at the plantation was an amazing experience. To be able to see and walk among where so many had been before and learn what actually happened to them and not some watered down version was very impactful. The last stop in the church was the hardest for me. When I was in there and everyone had left, the weight of the place came down on me and I was not able to stay longer. If you are at all sensitive to the blight of others, this will have a profound affect on you and your outlook on life from thereafter.

Our tour guide, Brian, was accommodating and knowledgeable. He shared information about the area and the plantations on the way there and back. He even stopped so that we get a quick bite to eat at a cafe before we headed back to the city.

Outstanding audio tour of plantation, with viewpoint of slaves. Guide who drove minivan did not have many facts to impart. Just pointed out buildings as left city and sugar cane crops. When asked questions, she admitted she didn't know answers.

I picked this tour last minute and couldn't be happier. Tour operators were all friendly and informative. The actual plantation tour is self guided, which I prefer. Also you stop for lunch or beverage break at a different plantation so its like a 2 for 1. The van is clean and a nice ride to and from the city.
