June 24 sail with family went smoothly even though it was a bit windy. Ryan G and Kyle were fantastic, making sure everybody was safe and comfortable during the 1.5hour sunset sail.
We took the sunset sail on June 24th. Checked in at their office located in the lobby level of Waikiki Reef. Staff guided us to the landing area at the beach by the Army Museum. It was a little windy but the sail was smooth. Ryan G and Kyle were excellent. Everyone was happy. We even made friends with other people on the boat. Highly recommend this activity.
We were advised to have rain proof ponchos on check in. We had them but they didn’t help. The rain flooded the seats. The sail boom was full of water so we got soaked in any direction depending on where the wind was. There was no sunset to be seen as it was pouring rain. We bobbed around aimlessly in the rain The staff were excellent. No complaints there. The company should have offered a refund or change of day. The company is clearly money driven and not customer oriented. The disclosure says they will sail no matter what. To avoid this I recommend that you book on the day after checking the weather. You pay good money for a service you don’t get
Thank you for your review. We are thrilled to hear that our staff provided excellent service under such soggy conditions—we will be sure to pass your compliments along to the crew! We are very sorry that the weather didn't cooperate for a sunset view. Because weather can be incredibly unpredictable, our policy is to sail in the rain as long as the conditions are safe. However, we completely understand how frustrating it is to get soaked instead of catching a sunset. Your feedback regarding our communication and booking flexibility is very important to us, and we will be discussing it with our team to see how we can improve the guest experience during unexpected downpours.
Our guides were PHENOMENAL and had a GREAT playlist! They were super efficient and quick to help guests with fresh drinks and navigating the boat. They both made us feel welcome! The sunset was gorgeous but the views of the island were equally beautiful and breathtaking. A humbling but fun and easy trip - 100000/10 recommend!
Such wonderful memories! The boat was brand new, and the colors of the sails were absolutely beautiful. The best part was that the meeting point was incredibly easy to find—right downstairs from my hotel, so there was no way to miss it. The boarding spot was also just a few minutes' walk away. Everything was so convenient. We hit some big waves during the tour, and standing at the bow completely soaked my clothes! But it was incredibly thrilling and a blast! Such a unique memory! If I had to pick a downside, the cocktails weren't great, but they also had beer and wine available to choose from.
Loved it! What a special way to see Waikīkī. Chase was amazing and looked after us so well!!! The captain was great as well and explained everything super clearly. Holokai hooch was delicious. Our nephew got a little bit of motion sickness and the crew were right there to help him and he ended up being fine after 10-15mins. Would 100% do it again!!!
Great experience for every one, we even saw a seal., Drinks were good and cold, views are great and sunset was amazing.
Nice leisurely sunset cruise of the beach
A great crew greeted us for our sunset cruise. They kept the drinks flowing. We liked that it was a small group so the catamaran never felt crowded. We sailed from the beach near the outrigger to Diamond Head and returned to the beach outside Fort Derussy (due to low tide). The return drop off location worked out great for us because we were a few steps from the Hilton Hawaiian resort where we are staying. The breeze was perfect for sailing so used wind power for our cruise.
Great staff on board. Well worth doing. When it comes to the directions for the meeting place ignore the map and read the small print underneath map. Beautiful photos.
