Our visit to the Pearl Harbor Memorial and Battleship Missouri was wonderful, however this is not a guided tour as the website made it seem. It’s a van that pick you up at a stop near your hotel and drives you to the locations. Our driver had us waiting over 30 minutes for two passengers that decided to take a detour from a previous tour he had done. While I appreciate him wanting to pick them up and accommodate their schedule, it left 13 of us in a van waiting on them the entire time. Because of this delay we are missing out on crucial family time, missed plans, later than expected arrival time to our hotel, without a restroom or water, and little air conditioning. I’m deeply disappointed in this event due to the price we paid. This could have been handled a lot better. If they needed accommodations they should have reached out to the tour guide company. Had I not asked how much longer, he would have continued waiting. I would not ever use this company again for any type of tour. There was not even an apology or real explanation.
Fantastic, highly recommend doing both Battleships, waited a long time to do the tours and wasn't disappointed
Including the USS Missouri makes for a long day but well worth the time. Options for lunch were adequate, though not stellar. But then, you're not going for the food. Very emotional as well as a wonderful history lesson on one of the biggest events in our nation's history.
This was incredible. While of the day was history focused and not “fun”, our tour guide was amazing giving history on the way there about Hawaii. The actual memorial itself, especially going to the Arizona memorial, was incredibly impactful and really beautiful. We also had the opportunity to get on the Missouri, which was a neat experience to walk through the boat and hear the history of it. Great day for a family, but probably better for older kids.
Driver/Guide Jeff was excellent! The only drawback was Viator not providing any information whatsoever about the need for all 18+ guests visiting the USS Missouri to have valid picture ID to enter the US military installation. That is a crazy stupid omission considering paragraphs are spent on the bag policy! About 5 people were without IDs on our bus alone, and had we not gotten lucky they’d have been left behind.
Pearl Harbor was a moving experience. There are lots of displays and information on site to learn more about the historic events. It is all very well done. We enjoyed touring the mighty mo and learning more about its history. For us this was a great tour to take us to and from our hotel and to manage all admissions. The informational drive before and after was nice to see other parts of Waikiki
Karma tours did a nice job running this tour. I highly recommend it. Let them drive and you can relax and enjoy the exhibits without dealing with the traffic.
Our guide, Art, was a Hawaiian man who gave us an incredible amount of history and current affairs about Hawaii. We were extremely lucky to have him as our guide. As a Hawaiian man, he was able to tell us about a lot of history that Hawaiians go through. His knowledge about Pearl Harbor, the attack, the Arizona and other warships really prepared us for the actual visit. Everything about this tour was awesome
Rolanda (RoRo) was the best! Her knowledge of the area, the tour and history, was beyond expectations! Absolutely so happy we went with her!
Guide had a great breadth of knowledge about the topic of the tour and was really friendly and accommodating. The tour was self paced within a time cap once and the memorial sites and allowed me to take plenty of photos and still make the shuttle back to the tour pickup point on completion. Highly recommend
