This tour takes us to the depths of the interior of Portugal showing us the essence of the Alentejo region. We will start by visiting the cork factory to learn about the tree that give us the cork and the production process with its innumerous applications. After that we are going to the medieval town of Évora in search of the petrifying Chapel of Bones, which is part of the Gothic church of San Francisco. Later we will have the opportunity to see one of the buildings that survived the passage of time from the legacy left by the Romans and we will take a short stroll through the historic squares of the city. For lunch we go to a traditional restaurant in the town and prepare you for the wine tasting! (Wine tasting is optional if you are in the mood for it) Duration: Between 7 and 8 hours

This was a long day but...

This was a long day but every minute was absolutely worth it. Our tour guide was super, super, super! We had a lot of fun and learned so very much about cork processing and products. Evora is a not to miss visit - a lot of history, great food and tastings. 15 stars to Margarida, our tour guide and wonderful lady. Thank you for a a specular adventure.

A Day to Remember

My guide, Frederico @TheHostExperiences.com did everything to make the day special. He was knowledgeable, conversational and helpful as a guide. Every element of the tour was enjoyable from the Cork factory to the Evora town square and the wine lounge.
