Bath’s Georgian elegance and Stonehenge’s aura is what I came for and this tour had it all in one peaceful, beautifully paced day. Our cab driver was warm, knowledgeable, and made every moment count.
Exceptional tour, Highly recommended. From Roman Baths to Ancient Stones, this tour exceeded our expectations. Incredible guide, educational, funny and made the tour personal to us. Absolute highlight of our trip hands down.
An early start in a London cab seemed daunting, but Dennis was engaging and really got the mood going in the car - even teenagers looked up from their screens and were bemused. Its a long way to travel to see a pile of rocks, but let me tell you, it is so worth it. You can almost imagine our ancestors hobbling around and worshipping in this place of mystery. While all the others had to listen to outdated audio guides, we had our own guide that told us all in the interesting detail.
We had a fantastic day visiting Stonehenge and Bath with our private guide, Ricky, from private black cab tours. In addition to his great personality, he provided us with historical gems from each of the locations.
Hi there, Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted Ricky could make your day trip to Bath and Stonehenge so enjoyable. His mix of warmth, humour, and historical insight really does make for a memorable adventure. We hope your day was everything you hoped for—and more!
We had a wonderful time on our private tour to Stonehenge & Bath. Highly recommend. Rick was funny and very knowledgeable.
Good day, thank you for your amazing feedback. We are overjoyed that you had a wonderful experience during your visit. Thank you for your kind words and high recommendation. Rick will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience with him. We hope to welcome you back on another Black Cab Heritage Tour in the near future.
We booked the Build Your Own Tour with plan of going to Melksham, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle for the day. Our tour guide, Mac, was able to accommodate everything we asked and provided a fun and informative day for us. The black cab we travelled in was spacious and comfortable and Mac made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you to Mac for making the day perfect for us!
This was truly a highlight from our 10 day trip! Our driver / guide, Mick was fabulous - Very knowledgeable, kind, patient, and fun. This was particularly important since we had our 6 year old daughter with us. Thanks for a wonderful day....we look forward to using you all again on our next trip to the UK.
Thanks for mentioning the age of your daughter, particularly as Mick and the rest of the crew here love touring with family groups. Sending all best wishes, and we look forward to seeing you guys again!
Steve was excellent! He was knowledgeable about all things and tailored the day to fit our group. Highly recommend - 10/10!
It’s always nice to know that guests found our service worth the time spent, particularly as we know how much time is important to tourists. Steve, like his colleagues, also enjoy tailoring experiences for their guests, and we sincerely thank you for pointing this out, Eleanor.
If you are in London for an extended stay or have been to London several times, taking a day trip to Bath and Stonehenge may be worth the excursion. For us, it was our first time to London for a week stay. The drive is quite long (at least 2 hrs without traffic and strikes) and you really do need to book tickets in advance to the sights you want to see because it can sold out and or the queues too long to see both in one day. We really enjoyed our guide and he had interesting facts to share but he doesn’t escort you into the sights you would visit to guide you through. For me, I would have enjoyed this very much and get the most out of my experience but understand it would be more expensive to do so. Jamie Owen was our guide and we recommend him as he is knowledgeable and shared really interesting tid-bits of info. He’s also funny and very flexible with your schedule if you like to be more spontaneous! The primary reason we have this a four is the car we got was an actual cab so it was not comfortable for a long ride with four people and we wished we had more time but got stuck in loads of traffic due to a train strike and school was out for the day (the latter completely out of the hands of the guide!)
Receiving feedback with so much detail is received here with immense gratitude. Those rail road strikes had certainly impacted on journey times out of London and into the English countryside, but having use of the capitals bus lanes is always a big advantage for us black cabs.
William our guide/driver was a refreshing breathe with a joyous smile, and spirit. He became part of the family with genuine personality reflecting warmth with a strong knowledge with tidbits to enhance our experience. My wife, daughter, and I highly recommend this tour.
We are proud and privileged that William is part of the BCHT family, and now you guys are too - thanks Larry!
