Our guide was Ann. If I had to guess, I would say she had a degree in German history. This lady was so knowledgeable about every area on our tour and she loved to talk about it. We took this tour as part of our cruise stop in Warnemunde Germany. It was a 3 hour bus ride but it went fast. Once we were inside Berlin, Ann pointed out lots of areas of interest pertaining to the history of the area. We stood on the spot where the border was for east/west Germany. Stopped at Checkpoint Charlie, saw the remains of the Berlin wall, a memorial to the Jewish people who lost their lives under Hitler and many iconic buildings and statues. We truly enjoyed our time on this tour. We were given time to explore Berlin on our own, get something to eat and then ride another 3 hours back to Warnemunde. It was worth it. We did stop half way there and back for a bathroom break.
Extremely knowledgeable and well-prepared tour guide. Everything was well-organized. The one recommendation is unless you were close to the guide, it was hard to hear her. This was especially true in busy areas that had traffic
We had a great time. Our guide (Tobi) was great. Really enjoyed seeing Berlin. Just the right amount of time at each stop.
Our tour guide, Scott, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Good day tour of Berlin. Covered the highlights.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your time with Scott. We hope to welcome you back to Europe one day.
This was a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable in everything Germany. It was great hearing the German side of Hitler and the Cold War. We would do it again!
We’re delighted to read such wonderful feedback. Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words. We’re very happy to hear you had a great experience with your guide and enjoyed Germany overall. We hope to welcome you back to Europe one day!
This is a great experience. Both the driver and guide are both nice and helpful. I will surely recommend this experience.
We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the tour and had such a great experience with driver and guide. Thank you for your feedback. We’d be happy to welcome you back to Europe again in the future.
Our guide in Berlin, Scott, was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable without being too academic. He was genuinely interested in his subject but he was equally as interested in the people in his tour group. He took the time to get to know people to ensure they got as much as they wanted from the experience. Our only problem was the check in process. We arrived very early to the meeting point, checked out. Names off with a female staffer and was told our bus was late. When it arrived we got on. Apparently we had not been marked off. However I do appreciate the effort Viator did make to contact us. The problem was we did not have wifi so we did not get any of the messages till later. We did have a great day and loved the sights we saw in Berlin. I had no concerns about not being returned to our cruise ship on time. I would highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We’re delighted to hear that Scott made such a wonderful impression. We’re also glad you enjoyed the sights of Berlin and felt confident about the return to the ship. That's exactly what we take pride in. We appreciate your feedback regarding the check‑in process. We’ll review this internally to ensure it runs more smoothly, especially for guests without Wi‑Fi access. Thank you again for recommending the tour. We hope to welcome you back to Europe one day.
Anne provided a five star tour with historically accurate information. The tour itself encompassed the major highlights well within good timing. The coach was incredibly perfect, comfortable and clean. This tour was an absolute pleasure and significantly less than what the cruise vultures wanted to charge. Highly recommend!!
We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the tour and had such a great day with guide Anne. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you again in Europe in the future.
The tour was excellent, only that the tour guide should have wore a small loudspeaker so that participants around him could hear him well & enjoyed the narration. The people near him got all clear information. Another suggestion is that the tour guide also carry a colour banner as he moves around. Thank you.
We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your time in Berlin. These are very helpful points, and we’re reviewing how we can implement them logistically for future tours. We offer excursions in many European ports, and we hope to welcome you back on one of your next cruises.
Daniel went above and beyond to give us the best tour of Berlin. He came prepared with booklets he had prepared himself and circulated around the bus giving information about the German people, German history, etc. As well at every stop he showed photographs of what all the sites looked like before and during the war. He is obviously very passionate about his job. The tour description said that there would be no commentary on the bus, however Daniel filled the 2.5 hour bus ride with interesting information. Highly recommend! Our driver was a total professional as well - even parallel parking our large tour bus on a crowded street!
