Enjoy our one-hour river cruise through old and new Berlin. Experience the city from a unique perspective and learn more about its history, its transformation, and Berlin as it is today — all from the water. Our tour guides provide live commentary in both German and English. Every tour is personal and individual, shaped by the guide’s own style and personality — a quality our guests particularly appreciate. For this, we were awarded the Certificate of Excellence in 2025 as well as in previous years. The route takes you through Berlin’s historic and modern districts, including the historic city center and the government quarter. The cruise operates in all weather conditions: our ship features a panoramic roof that can be closed within seconds if it starts to rain and opened just as quickly when the weather improves.

Discover the city from the water: The Reederei Hadynski enables its guests to get to know Berlin from a special point of view. On board the two glass panorama ships MS Carola and MS Franziska, tour guides will present the one-hour boat trip live and explain the exciting cityscape of Berlin. On the daily trips from March to December, guests can take in the panoramic view with a beer or a cup of coffee. When its not cold the roof will be completely open for the best views. In case it starts to rain the panoramic glass roof can be closed within seconds. Thanks to the large window areas, everyone will still be ensured an optimal view when the guides explain the highlights of Berlin, such as the Berlin Cathedral or the Reichstag.

It was a fun trip. The staff were super friendly, the narrator was excellent, the overall experience was great.
Get there a little early if you want a bit of shade. Interesting stories and facts were shared throughout the trip.
Really good tour with interesting live commentary. Great location if staying at Adina Hackescher Markt.
Beer on board was cold and refreshing. Everything was on time. The roof folded back in sections, so when the rain stopped, it was opened and we could get a cool breeze in the heat. The tour guide was excellent, pointing out information that we didnt know of the areas, even though we had visited Berlin before.

Michael, the tour guide, is a delight! It’s a very relaxing ride, well organised with drinks you can order right at your seat to be delivered to you. The features along the Spree river give a nice insight into Berlin’s history, especially developments since reunification. We took this on our last day in Berlin, but it could also serve as a useful tour at the beginning of your trip, to decide which places you might choose to visit.
The journey is quite short, only in “West Berlin”. There's an elevator that doesn't let you go to the other side. But the guide was great, explaining in German and English. And there's bar service on board. Excellent!

It is a short ride and doesn’t cover some of the more important sites like Bradenburg gate and the Reichstag. Also the commentary is hard to follow since they stop mid sentence and switch the language from English to Deutsch and vice versa.
We are somewhat surprised by your expectation of seeing the Brandenburg Gate. The Brandenburg Gate is not located on the river and therefore cannot be seen from a boat tour. A sightseeing boat can only show landmarks that are actually situated along the waterway. Regarding the commentary, you booked a bilingual live-guided tour (German/English). The defining feature of this tour is that it is presented in both languages. Our guides do not switch languages mid-sentence. They explain a topic in one language and then repeat it in the other. This format works well for the overwhelming majority of our guests and is clearly intended for an international audience. We are sorry that this concept did not match your personal expectations.
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide was absolutely wonderful- friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely funny. He did an excellent job keeping everyone engaged and made the entire experience both entertaining and informative. The only thing I wish was different is that the tour had lasted longer than one hour because we were having such a great time. We also happened to have a rainy day, but that was completely out of the tour operator’s control and certainly didn’t diminish the experience. If you’re considering this boat tour, I highly recommend it. The outstanding guide, beautiful scenery, and overall experience made it well worth it. Five stars!
