We had a lovely time at La Bouche du Roi vine yards. It was a beautiful day and what a stunning view! I do speak French but didn’t think I could accurately translate for my group so they gave us a translator and she did a wonderful job. I have been to the Palace of Versailles but had no idea about the winery and I had a wonderful time learning the history and manufacturing of the wine there. The tastings were amazing I will definitely be purchasing some wine from them in the future. I highly recommend going and visiting them either after a tour of Versailles or within the same trip.
Walking in the plain of Davron, we discovered after seeing the vines in the color of autumn , the estate with a Welcoming at the top and perfect explanations for two walkers of a sunny Saturday A tasting and very good whites for our evening. We will come back to visit with the passionate young guides Push to this Small Village Welcoming this Organic Domain
Enjoyed the wine tasting and the explaination about everything. Unfortunatly we couldnt make it on the day itself, so we were allowed to come the next day. The tour was then in French in stead of Engelish, but we did receive a magazine with the info written in english and a extra bottle of rose included.
1h30 walk in the vineyards promised -> 5mn by car to be in the vineyards with 10mn of explanations without passion. Palace of Versailles absolutely not visible... Vatches vaguely seen through a window: useless! Initiation to the tasting steps promised -> uh... ? no conviviality, unpleasant limit because we were talking while tasting. 4 cuvées to taste -> we got 3. Really nothing extraordinary. White, why not? You can imagine it with something to nibble on... even a mini toast. As for the tariffs, a shame! 29€ for this visit. Then, the bottle is almost 30€ each: no way! -Suck!
Caroline was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable about the wine and the vineyard and her English was excellent
Caroline was a wonderful guide. Having a wine tasting in the vineyard was a special touch. A perfect way to end the day!
