We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Lilia was the absolute best guide! We were so excited to see the Sistene Chapel!
Arrive 15 minutes before hand to check in. He walks you through all the gates in skip line. Then off on your own or listen independently to a guide(virtual). I think I would rather see St Peter’s over sostenes chapel. Long walk to get there. Next time definitely choosing St. Peter’s.
We paid a lot of extra money to have a young boy who hardly spoke to our group to just walk us across the road to wait in line to get through security and nothing else. I know this tour states self guided but we paid welll over twice the price for the entry tickets to be guided to entrance which we could have done ourselves. Was absolutely shocked at what we paid to what we got and how much it actually cost for entry tickets.
It does not allow exit from right door straight to St. Peter’s Cathedral. Forced to exit by left door which exits to main entrance so many blocks walk to cathedral
Our guide Claudia was amazing and we enjoyed our tour so much. We just wished it was a longer tour.
We booked a Vatican Skip-the-Line Tour and it was absolutely worth it. John is friendly knowledgeable and full of engaging historical facts as you move through the sights. This was an excellent experience and I highly recommend thank you!
Had a wonderful time with John. The tour was excellent and I learnt a lot exploring the incredible history of the buildinga. Magical!
Ciao John! Greetings from Scotland, a beautiful day. Highly recommend!!!
We had a great time! Our guide was fantastic – John was very friendly, told us facts as if they were stories, and made the tour an enjoyable and wonderful experience.
The focus of this tour is Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel. That is great, but there is a LOT more to see in the museums that gets glossed over. It’s impossible to cover everything in a couple hours - I get it. The real issue is that the museum pushes so many people thru at the same time it’s impossible to really study and appreciate any of the art in depth (in June- maybe the winter months are better).
Dear Daniel, Thank you for your thoughtful review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed learning about Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel. As you mentioned, it is unfortunately impossible to cover every masterpiece in depth during a guided tour of just a few hours. We also understand your comments regarding the crowds. Especially during the summer months, the Vatican Museums welcome a very large number of visitors, which can sometimes make it challenging to fully appreciate every artwork at a relaxed pace. Thank you for sharing your experience and for choosing Inside Out Italy. We hope to welcome you back to Rome in the future, perhaps during a quieter season, for another memorable visit. Kind regards, Gaia Inside Out Italy
