Sunrise viewing of Uluru was absolutely gorgeous. While Kata Tjuṯa was windy it was still such a stunning vista. Thanks Hayley for being a great guide
Excellent. Mitch and Keiren were warm, hospitable, knowledgeable and made the experience 5 stars. Make sure you wear good shoes !
Kevin was a great guide and bus driver. The experience of going into Kata Tjuṯan and Uluru is unforgettable and magnificent. Highly recommended
Dave and Jessie was so kind and caring. Taking care of all of us. The tour was amazing. I wasn’t a morning person and too excited to fall asleep the night before. I was worrying too intense of the walk. But I was spot on. Challenging enough but I also feel very safe with both guide leading and wrapping up.
Be prepared for awesome. Take moments to put the cameras down and be in the moment! Wear good walking shoes Our tour guide Hailey offered great undying the right amount and at the right moments. Rachel our driver was great as well.
Beautiful morning, sunrise on Uluru was amazing. Dani was a great host and provided science based explanation of the geology. Walk in gorge ended was like natural air conditioning on a hot day. Great experience!
Hi Michael, We’re so glad you enjoyed the sunrise at Uluru — it’s always a special moment. Great to hear Dani’s geology insights added to the experience as well. And yes, the gorge walk at Kata Tjuṯa really does feel like natural air-conditioning on a warm day! Thanks again for travelling with us — we’re happy you had such a great morning. AAT Kings Team.
Unfortunately it rained on the day so at sunrise we couldn’t even get off the bus and had to skip Ayers Rock entirely - very frustrating as only there for one day. We did Kata Tjuṯa, but also in the rain and on very slippery rocks and half the group staying on the bus. By the time we returned, the rain had stopped and weather cleared up - instead of returning early, they should have revisited Ayers Rock / Uluru at the end.. overall disappointing experience
Hi Antonia, hank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuṯa tour. Weather conditions in Central Australia can change quickly and are completely outside of our control. On the day of your tour, the decision to remain on the bus at sunrise and not proceed at Uluru was made with guest safety as the absolute priority. Heavy rain and slippery surfaces, particularly around Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa, can present real risks, and our operations team will always act conservatively in those circumstances. Our team works hard to deliver the best possible experience within the conditions on the day. While we understand how frustrating this must have been—especially when you were only in the region for one day—adjusting the itinerary mid-tour isn’t always operationally possible due to park regulations, timing permits, driving hours, and overall group logistics. Kata Tjuṯa in the rain can still be a powerful experience, however we appreciate that it may not have met your expectations on this occasion. We hope you’ll consider travelling with us again in the future so you can experience the Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuṯa tour under clearer skies. Kind Regards, AAT Kings Team.
First & foremost ... the view and surroundings v ULURU ... Wow... unfortunately this afternoon was ruined by the quenched rude female guide NED !! She told her thing on the bus and I quietly translated pieces for my friend because she doesn't understand everything in English. I sat diagonally behind Ned and suddenly in front of the whole bus through the micro: “Will you shut up while I’m talking !! I’m the guide here !!” Stunned by this rudeness, we have said nothing all afternoon, nor has Ned looked at us or spoken to us. Ned was also her sister & niece on this trip. Did she want to highlight her status with that or is this woman just extinguished because her stories were just reeled off monotonously and asking questions was a burden I had the impression. Unfortunately ...retirement could be a good choice NED !! Hailey ... our guide the next day ... WOW ... what a relief !! Spontaneous , smooth, friendly, fun & animated stories. So thank you Hailey for making ULURU a wonderfull place again !!!
Dear Steve, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views of Uluru and that Hailey made your next day memorable. However, we are truly sorry for the experience you had with driver guide. What you described is not the standard of professionalism or warmth we expect from our guides, and we sincerely apologize for the way you were treated. We understand how upsetting and uncomfortable that must have been, especially in such a special setting. Please know that your feedback has been shared with our team so we can address this directly and ensure it doesn’t happen again. We appreciate your honesty and hope that, despite this, you were able to enjoy the beauty and magic of Uluru. We would love the opportunity to provide a fully positive experience for you in the future. Warm regards, Sonia AAT Kings Team.
Fantastic!!! Our guides Jake and Dani took us on a 5+ hour tour of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Due to heavy cloud cover, Uluru did not light up when the sun rose. No matter, it was a beautiful spot to be in this sacred land. From there we hiked into the Walpa Gorge. Stunning domes! We thought the terrain around this area looks like the U.S. state of Arizona without the cacti. A full morning, well spent. We learned so much from Dani and Jake!! Thank you!!! PS, We didn't expect snacks and that was a welcomed bonus!
Hi Robert, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your 5-hour adventure in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park with Jake and Dani. Even with the clouds, it sounds like you got to fully appreciate the beauty and sacredness of the area, and that Walpa Gorge left a lasting impression. We’re glad the snacks were a nice surprise too! Your kind words mean a lot, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon. AAT Kings Team.
Great spot for seeing sunrise at Uluru. Lucky we had a beautiful morning. It had rained the day before. Trip to Kata Tjuṯa was about 40 minutes and I really liked the walk up the canyon. Meg and bus driver Sarah very pleasant and helpful. Overall five stars.
