Description
Sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Your Driver Guide will provide expert commentary while you enjoy the amazing surroundings and the sight of Uluru in the distance. After sunse you will transfer to the barbecue site. The site is within the Uluru National Park set amongst red sand dunes and desert oak trees providing a peaceful desert setting. The site is located far enough from the resort lights to provide you a clear view of the stars in the southern sky (weather permitting). Once at the site, you will enjoy a variety of Australian meats and salads, accompanied by wine, beer or orange juice (menus are subject to change). After dinner, tea, coffee and dessert will be served. Your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight (weather permitting). The guide will also explain some Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars.

After pickup from Ayers Rock Resort, you'll travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area.
Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and snacks as the sun sets over Uluru. Continue to the barbecue site located in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As you dine looking out across the desert to Uluru (Ayers Rock), savor the mouth-watering flavors of a traditional Aussie barbecue. The menu includes sizzling gourmet sausages, a delicious selection of meats, seasonal salads and fresh bread rolls accompanied by a complementary selection of wine, beer and soft drinks. After dinner, relax with a cup of tea or coffee as the sun gradually sinks below the desert plain to reveal a myriad of stars in the outback’s spectacular night sky. The Ayers Rock desert is one of the best places on earth to view the southern night sky. Your local guide and star expert will lead you through the constellations and planets as they move about the sky. Discover the zodiac constellations, find south using the Southern Cross and be amazed by the gleaming Milky Way. This is an experience not to be missed.

Was such a great experience would love to do this again. I went solo and had an amazing time. If you want a one night getaway then I suggest you book this tour.
The tour was great allowing enough time to see and listening to explications. The sunset experience was great and the viewing area great. The BBQ great also and the stargazing comment good One thing to improvise the guide from Japam had a very strong accent and was difficult to endurance d'urine the uluru visit. Fortunately the driver from the bus was providing clarification and was easier to understand.

Loved the astronomy lesson. The guide was very knowledgeable. Food was ok. They never seem to have enough food. Loved the location at the base of rock.

The excursion was cancelled in advance of arrival . Offered the following day , acepted then not available ! Then offered an up grade and refund of bbq , which we accepted . On arrival told that we could have been on the bbq one . Total shambles of a company !

Unfortunately, the original excursion had to be cancelled prior to your arrival due to operational reasons. When we offered the alternative for the following day and then had to adjust availability again, we completely understand how disappointing and inconvenient that must have felt. Regarding the BBQ dinner, once our team processed the refund through Viator for the cancelled item, the system no longer allowed us to simply reinstate it without taking a new payment at the ticket office. This is why our team advised that payment would need to be processed again if you wished to re-add the BBQ. We apologize if this was not clearly explained at the time. As a gesture of goodwill, the team provided a complimentary upgrade to the extended sunset tour, and we truly hope you were able to enjoy that enhanced experience. We sincerely regret that the changes and communication issues led to such a negative impression.
