The scheduled pick up did not show up at our hotel to get us. We were out there waiting 5 minutes before our scheduled pick up time of 7:50 am and when they didn’t show, we called and called and their phone system would just hang up after 3 rings. We reached out on WhatsApp and they didn’t reply despite the messages showing as delivered and read. Very frustrating as this is our last day in Cancun so we couldn’t schedule another tour and we were really looking forward to it. :( they didn’t offer us a credit or any way to rebook at all which is absolutely absurd. Not sure if this is a legit company… I find it odd that the company is calls itself by 2 names - PrimeOne Tours and SAT Mexico …? I would suggest other travelers go through more reputable tour company!!
We were 5 adults and 1 child; they picked us up in a transfer that already had 6 people on board, plus the guide and the driver. When we got on, the guide informed us that the first two seats were reserved and that we should sit in the remaining seats. However, the space at the back of the transfer was very small, and our knees were pressed against the seat in front. I told the guide that we could not travel like that, but she was not kind and did not care. I want to file my complaint as my knee was left bruised, I ended up limping, and it caused me a lot of pain afterward. I believe that part of having a good experience on a tour is also how we are transported, especially on long trips. I hope Coba Sunset takes responsibility and does not subject any traveler to this situation.
Fantastic experience. Our guide Javier spoke 3 languages. A while making sure we all understood what he was showing us. At Tulum we learned so much about the area. For being small there was plenty to see. Coba was amazing. The 120 steps up to the top had a beautiful view. Well worth it. The Cenote was spectacular. The main swimming area was good. But the better one was down the road. There it was the picturesque Cenote. Would recommend this experience to anyone. The only down part was the van ride to meet with the others on the bus. We were packed in like sardines. If you get car sick like me pick your set and don’t budge for others to pack in.
We booked via Tui at the desk at our hotel to attend Coba Maya and Cenote it was absolutely amazing the best trip ever in fairness the coach was on time we stayed in our seats whole trip which helped with luggage etc. the Coba Maya ruins were amazing we grabbed a type of tuk tuk 180pesos per 2, there and back worth it they were whizzing through to the pyramid. 160 uneven steps up the pyramid wow I spent 12 of 15 minutes catching my breath it was an incredible view. So much history to hear about from the guide. We then visited a traditional Mayan home, had lunch in a pueblo then onto a dry Cenote for a blessing. We were so hot the Cenote swim at the end was a relief we didn’t need to rush we were the only trip there showers, loos and life jackets what a fabulous trip worth it all day long our fav 🇲🇽. We were 2 adults and 1 child.
The excursion was superb but the guides were not up to it they were busier being on their phone than explaining each visit and commenting on the visits, they commented that at the end of the visit to get tips
I was worried this 12 hour excursion was going to zap all of my energy but it didn’t at all. There’s plenty of traveling to each destination so there’s down time to recover. Our tour guide, Moises was super fun and silly, very knowledgeable and helpful. Tulum and Cobá were absolutely breathtaking. Lunch was delicious and the cenote was a little chilly but incredibly beautiful. I’m so glad we went and would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!
If you get sick and not able to attend the tour operator will stop communicating with you about rescheduling or refund. Me and my sister fell sick with poisoning before this happened the tour operator was messaging me back communicating really well with me. The morning of the tour is when we started feeling sick like around 3 or 4 that morning. I immediately sent a message to the operator I felt it would be best if we didn't attend because at that time we didn't know if it was a bug going around so we didn't want to take the chance of getting any else sick. The operator never responded since then I have sent several more messages still with no response. So I contacted support they replied back and I have messages to back it up and they stated that I am approved for a refund they are just waiting for the tour operator to authorize the refund and that they will let me know when everything is finalized that was on yesterday. Fast forward to today i still have not heard anything so I sent a message to both the operator and support and again the operator didn't and still have not responded but support did and they stated that I was approved for the refund but unfortunately they are unable to issue a refund because the operator will not authorize. If the operator didn't want to give a refund at least communicate with me like they was doing before I asked for a refund I plan on coming back in May we could have rescheduled or something but to ignore me is wrong and because I have a email stating I was approved for the refund I have disputed this charge with my bank.
FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. Millie (Mildred) our tour guide was absolutely phenomenal. She was upbeat, funny, enthusiastic, and friendly. Our driver Carlos was also exceptional. Pick up and drop off was seamless and whole day went absolutely perfect. The included lunch was actually pretty good and exceeded our expectations. This is an amazing tour and I would highly recommend taking it.
The trip was very intriguing. The only thing that I would say is during tour very little English was spoken so didn't know what was going on.
The program included Mayan ceremony which we did not get. As well as we did not get the cocoa grinding. Tulum and Coba part was good. Otherwise, it was passable, although the food that was served for a very late lunch was almost inedible. And after this trip I ended up at the hospital with severe gastro-intestinal infection. Which cost me hell of a lot of money.
