Arrive at the archeological site of Tulum. Here you will have a guided visit, learning what the most representative edifications have to tell and the highlights of this amazing Maya ancient city by the hand of your certified tour guide
Arrive at the restaurant. Our Chef will delight you with our exquisite Regional Buffet with a unique selection of typical recipes to satisfy your palate. Vegan and vegetarian alternatives are considered in our menu.
Guided visit to the archaeological site of Coba. You will witness the greatness of the pyramid of "Nohoch Mul," which is 42 meters (137.7 feet) high and is one of the highest edifications in the Maya territory. You will have free time to walk by the surroundings, an excellent opportunity to take many interesting photos.
Visit the beautiful “Cenote Kuxtal.” Swim in its healing mineral crystal clear waters. Take beautiful photos for your best memories, and above all, spend an unforgettable moment with your couple, friends, or family. *Note: Lockers and life jackets rent is not included and costs 4 dollars.

Amazing experience! We had a small group that was a bit boring but the sites were incredible. Tulum was amazing to see and Coba was even cooler IMO. Definitely recommend renting a bike (only $5) because there is a ton to see. We only got an hour at each site which wasn't enough to see everything but it makes us want to come back. I would have sacrificed the shopping at the end for more time at the ruins. Shopping area was a little cool but a great way to be overcharged for everything if you don't know how to barter. The van we drove in was good. AC worked well. Bruch provided was okayish. I didn't eat half of mine and I don't think anybody else did either. Bring snacks. Lunch was good. We had the cenote to ourselves for a while and it's very neat. Lots of fish, a turtle, and yes, many bats in the cave that stayed to themselves. The rope swing is fun. I also jumped off the cliff edge into the water. If you go swimming bring a small towel unless you like getting dressed while wet. We climbed the pyramid! Very neat history! The guide was very nice and knowledgeable.

We have had lots of good experiences with Viator in the past, but this tour was disappointing. The guide provided very limited commentary and did not explain the itinerary at beginning or upcoming stops, said very few words throughout the entire trip. At each site, our group was combined with others, and the local guide spoke in multiple languages, with English consistently last and noticeably abbreviated. Local tour guide is a nice person but busy switching languages and providing very limited information. Although the tour was booked in English, it felt more like transportation between sites than a guided experience. The driver was professional and courteous, but the overall level of engagement, culture and historical context was minimal. In addition, we have to pay the guide additional “Tax” or “balance” , which the amount was not specified clearly in anywhere, but have to be paid in cash and no receipts. Ours was about 30% of the tour cost, not include tips. This was the poorest local tour we have experienced with Viator and is not recommended, unless you just want to have transportation.

The itinerary, activity format, and operational details are clearly explained in the product listing, including that this is a shared experience where guests may travel with other groups. This approach allows us to maintain comfort while providing service to an international audience, with explanations delivered in both English and Spanish (a system that has worked successfully for many years). Our guides follow a structured on-site explanation to provide historical and cultural context, and guests are always welcome to ask questions at any time for additional information or clarification. Regarding the additional tax mentioned, we sincerely apologize for any confusion. Government-imposed fees can occasionally change without prior notice, and unfortunately, this occurred on the day of your tour. Had communication remained open during the activity, our team would have gladly clarified this situation and any other concerns immediately. While we fully respect your personal perception, we would also like to reassure future travelers that this review represents an isolated experience. If you have little time and would like to visit the surroundings of Cancun, I strongly suggest this package. The archaeological sites of Tulum and Cobá are worth a visit. We enjoyed visiting these places, especially Coba by bike. The stop for lunch was rather late in the day so plan a good lunch before leaving and bring drinks and snacks. The cenote was correct and not at all supervised, the buffet quite limited but the lemonade was delicious. The day ended with a short stop on Playa del Carmen 5. It is a very lively and touristic street. The festive atmosphere prevails there. However, if you want to buy holiday souvenirs, it is better to buy them at Mercado 28 in Cancun because they are very expensive in Playa Del Carmen. Thanks to Maru, the customer service, who answered my questions and made sure that our day was running smoothly. What we liked less: -We were supposed to be at the meeting point at 7:20 am, the bus arrived around 7:50 am and we arrived in Tulum around 10:45 am, after many stops at the different hotels. It was rush hour in Tulum so we lost a lot of time online to pay the tourist tax. I would have needed at least an additional hour at this location to be able to visit this site. – For Coba, the guide offered to pay the tourist tax directly on the bus to avoid the queue. However, it charged 320 pesos per person instead of the 120 pesos requested on the site. I decided to pay directly on the site, there was no queue. This saved me 800 pesos for the family. Again, we would have needed more time because it was impossible to climb the great temple in the hour allotted. I would have spent two more hours there. In general, it was a busy day. The whole family had fun. Last tips: bring a jacket for the bus because the air conditioning is powerful and a towel for the cenote because there are no one there.

Overpriced for what it was! The places are nice and totally worth visiting but with a serious travel agency. We were picked up on a van for the first part of the trip and dropped off on a bus stop in a busy highway for another pick up. We arrived to the Jaguar park very late. Our guide was super disorganized and the tour information was very confusing. Some people had their tickets booked and others had to purchase on the spot. The ‘deluxe’ package is a scam. There’s no unlimited snacks or drinks in the bus, they only give you a ridiculously tiny water bottle at the end of each trip and they give you a small ham and cheese sandwich. We had to constantly look for our guide on each place. We had the buffet at 4 pm and in the cenote there are not towels. I wouldn’t recommend booking with this agency. There are other serious and much more reliable agencies out there.

This tour is designed to explore amazing archaeological sites. At Tulum, be prepared to walk under a scorching sun and take a thrilling biking ride (the Mayan Uber) to see a few ruins in Coba. It's 100% worth the experience. Later, you will enjoy a lovely and refreshing swim in the Cénote.

I ended up not taking the trip. It's a two hour ride to Tulum, so a couple of days before I asked whether the bus had bathrooms. They said that they couldn't tell me whether there would be a bathroom until the morning of the trip. That morning they told me that our bus didn't have a bathroom so I had to cancel. However, that was past the cancellation time, and they wouldn't refund my money and Viator wouldn't either.

Your cancellation request was made only minutes before your scheduled pickup time, after our vehicle was already on the way to your hotel. At that very moment, you first asked whether the bus had a restroom. Our staff explained that the unit did not, but that courtesy stops are always provided before reaching the highway—something all passengers are informed of. Immediately after, you stated you felt unwell and decided to cancel. While we understand personal circumstances, cancellations or refund requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance as per Viator’s policy. A last-minute decision falls under the “no show” category, and for fairness to all guests, we must apply these policies equally. Your review suggests that the information was requested days before, which is not correct. Our customer service records clearly show your inquiry and cancellation came only that same morning, minutes before pickup. We regret that the facts were misrepresented here, but we remain committed to transparency, respectful communication, and consistent application of the rules so that every traveler receives equal treatment.

This tour packs in so much awesome stuff! The views from the Tulum ruins are great and exploring Coba was incredible (Pro-tip: Get the bike taxi!). Our first time in a Cenote, the whole landscape was fantastic and the food was delicious and authentic. An A+ staff and full day!
