Average service

1. Issue Quite intimidating with pressurised sales tactics for optional excursions such as the hot air balloon ride and camel ride around the pyramids that was totally uninterested in participating. He was disappointed when I was not interested and making statements that I was the only person who doesn't want to do it and didn't understand why. As a customer I pick and choose what I want to do NOT what they want to do!! 2. Issue The quality and location of the Pyramid park resort was disappointing. The bathroom was disgusting and have not been cleaned especially during this time in the pandemic. 3. Issue Tour guides look at tourists with invisible bags of money and demanding excessive tips. The guide in Luxor to Aswan was the worse. 4. Issue Tour guides putting tourists in tourist traps to spend on extortion amounts on tat. I spoke to one local in Aswan who warned me where tour guides take you and ensure the prices stay high as they earn huge commissions. Go to the local markets NOT where the tour guides take you. I fell for that in Cairo in the Papyrus shop. Overall more bad than a good experience. Happy to be home!!!

Operator response

First, this traveler did not book with Trip Advisor or any company affiliated with it. Second, the company he booked with, if it saw that it was right, it took a return, but it did not happen

5 days in Cairo and Alexandria

I wanted to thanks Walid and Ahmed for this tour. This tour was a 5 days tour in Cairo and Alexandria. I got into traveling from my Game company I work for in USA. Walid is very loyal, very confident, he has a lot of energy, he possess a lot of ideas, good translation, very knowledgeable of my attractions and my interest of the country. I learn a lot about the culture specially the difference between muslim and islam in Mosque and Citadel. He took me to the Giza pyramid which is the main thing about the country and very amusing and attractive sightseeings. Walid showed me in the ancient writing of Hieroglyphs combined logographic, syllabic and alphabetic elements writing during the ancient times. The designs is very beautiful and symbolics makes me feels like I want to learn this languages as well and people actually took them a long time to learn this language at our time now. In the Dessert around October is still warm. I loved the peaceful sightseeing of the pyramids as well as the main Egyptian Museums where it all begins and it is amazing true story in to live in the past life of the Pharaohs, gods and goddess, high priestess during the ancient times. I also loved the sculptures and artifacts with ancient Hieroglyphs symbols. My favorite part of the storytelling was during the ancients time in Egypt the battle between cleopatra against the Greeks and Romans. I had no Idea that Romans, Greeks colonized this country as well. I was also most interested in Architectures in Egypt like the Mosque of Mohammad, Khalili and Citadel and Alexandria. Walid Introduced me In Mosque Of how the muslims and islam religion with families traditionally do their worship on the daily basis life of Mosque. Khalili has a nice jewelries, candles, perfumes that are very sophisticated and unique. The people around are so nice and I felt welcome in Egypt of the Dessert area and everywhere the places. In Alexandria Walid, Ahmed and I did the tour in the boat around the border of mediterranean sea and another sightseeing to see where the wave of water is very wobble, the wind felt so warm and I just feel very safe and comfortable with them. Theres a scenario whereas the people would like to get to know me and my living situations about United States of America and the similarities between two countries. I liked the clothes they wear in traditional way and I even blend in with the people when I wear their clothing styles. I take everything from granted and I enjoyed it a lot. I will miss It the most. It is an honor meeting new people and again would like to thank the Tour company for giving me an opportunity to experiences the The activity in Egypt.
