Description

On this private Cairo day tour, you’ll journey through the layers of Egypt’s ancient glory, beginning with the awe-inspiring Pyramids of Giza — the Great Pyramid of Khufu, that of Khafre, and Menkaure — timeless monuments rising from the golden sands since the 4th Dynasty, around 2500 B.C. Enjoy a 30-minute camel ride through the Sahara, circling these wonders as the Great Sphinx watches over the plateau with its eternal gaze. Savor a traditional lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the pyramids before continuing to the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum, where the treasures of pharaohs come alive — colossal statues, gleaming artifacts, and the full collection of Tutankhamun displayed together for the first time — an unforgettable encounter with 5,000 years of civilization.

Good overall experience

It was a nice experience. We did camel ride and went inside the pyramid and to the museum. Lunch was at a fancy restaurant and it was good as well. Everything was smooth.

We left around...

We left around 7:30 AM with Mohammed Ali who was our guide for the day, visiting the pyramids, camel ride (the camel is not included in the activity), papyrus visit, lunch at a local restaurant with only the drinks to pay for, and finally the Grand Egyptian Museum. Entrance tickets for the pyramids and the museum are not included. We had a great time with Mohammed who taught us many things, an unforgettable day. Thank you to Mohammed and his friend who drove us all day long 🤗

A great guides makes a huge difference.

A great guide can transform a simple site seeing trip into a very informative, story-telling type adventure. Mimo is first and foremost an educated Egyptologist but more than that he can synthesize the information in a very approachable way.. I was in Giza just last year, but my guide, in hindsight, didn't do a great job. I would strongly recommend Mimo to get the type of experience you traveled here to get.

If you want to go to Egypt, you must call Omar. And if you want to know everything, you must ask Omar.

Omar was our guide in Egypt. We met through a well-known online portal, but from the very beginning, he conveyed his way of understanding the role of a tour guide. Omar possesses a deep knowledge of Cairo, the city where he resides and where we met, as well as a solid background in the history of Egypt. He possesses that rare ability to convey authentic emotions, which only those who experience these places not just as a guide, but also as a citizen, know how to communicate. With him, we ranged from the history of the Giza Pyramids to that of ancient Egypt inside the GEM. We immersed ourselves in the daily life of today's Egyptians, visiting local markets and the gardens of Al-Azhar Park, also passing through the history of the arrival of Islam in Egypt 🇪🇬. He introduced us to the Citadel of Saladin and the refined Mosque of Muhammad Ali. Even after saying goodbye, Omar remained a friend, providing us with valuable advice for all the remaining days of our long trip to Egypt.

10/10 Experience!

This was our first time To Egypt and this experience made us feel so safe which was a top priority. The private car, an amazing guide named Michael!, knowledge and flexible with our time. Every moment was thought out and we had an amazing time! We went to the pyramids and I’m so glad we had the choice to enter the pyramids or not before tickets were bought. We then went to both the oils and papyrus store, lunch was truly incredible (mind you we are picky New Yorkers), and the grand Egyptian museum - we learned with our guide and received personal time to roam. Truly an amazing experience! I highly recommend it!

Wonderful introduction to Giza

We had a great experience. Zeinab was a very knowledgeable guide and she made our trip special. She let us proceed at our own pace and we never felt rushed. Ashraf the driver was a perfect gentleman and made us feel safe

Pyramids up close !

Our guide, Hagar, really made this ptour for us. Her knowledge and expertise made the excursion so e6. Without her guidance around the pyramids and the bazaar we would have struggled, she made everything move smoothly, explaining everything as we went, and treated us like family. Mention too for Peter, our driver who was very polite and careful driver. Thank you to you both.
