I booked this specific...

I booked this specific tour because it clearly advertised visits to BOTH Cenote Samula and Cenote Xkeken, which are difficult to find included together in most Chichen Itza tours. Unfortunately, that is not the experience I received. The experience started poorly when transportation did not arrive on time and nobody answered the phone for quite a while. After multiple calls, I was told they could not even find my reservation in the system. About 20 minutes later, I was finally told the bus had arrived. The biggest issue was that only AFTER boarding the bus and already being on the way to Chichen Itza did the guide inform us that we would not be visiting either of the cenotes advertised in the booking. Instead, we were taken to a completely different cenote and only one cenote instead of the two included in the original itinerary. Had I known this beforehand, I would have booked another tour. I feel the experience provided did not match what was advertised and paid for. Chichen Itza itself was beautiful, but the lack of communication and last-minute itinerary change was very disappointing.

Long day . Great your guide

Pick up was 25 mins late from our hotel . Long coach trip but your guide did talk and entertain us throughout the journey . Gabrielle was brilliant . Restaurant drinks way overpriced , drinks should be included in ticket price . Reasonable priced drinks sold by the tour guide on the coach but again due to the price of the tour this we feel should be included . The first stop is in a Mayan village , here they will offer a free massage but do expect to be tipped , you are also constantly followed around the shop . The buffet lunch was OK . The visit to Chichen Itza was good but be prepared for way too many tourists and the constant harassment from market traders as you walk down to it . The trip to the cenote was great and probably our favourite part of the trip .

I could not recommend it enough

I could not recommend this trip enough. Excellent day of culture and history with kind and knowledgeable guides. It has sparked our curiosity in learning more about Maya tradition, history, and culture. The cenotes were also an unforgettable experience.

Good trip

A must see! Recommended. Comfortable ride and friendly staff. Food was good. Definitely bring extra money in pesos for shopping and drinks, if needed.

Good crew but lacks organisation and many hidden charges.

The people working on this tour were nice, polite and tried to help in any way they could. They worked hard to make it interesting and we had a really good time there. There is no reason in the language selection as they speak Spanish 70% and English like 30% which makes sense as we are in Mexico. As far as the stops are concerned: The Valladolid stop was just a waste. Only leaving you 20 minutes there which is not enough to see anything. Seemed like they had this stop to make a tick on the box Valladolid. I would suggest going for a whole day there if you have time as it is really beautiful and traditional. The cenote was also a rush as there is not enough time to enjoy it. You have to pay extra to get inside the water and also get a locker if you have bags. 50 pesos per life jacket and 50 pesos per locker. They also stop for 30 minutes before lunch to a shop just to buy things. Totally waste of time, instead of spending that time somewhere else. Also the heat was terrible and there was no place to sit during those 30 minutes. My girlfriend almost fainted there. The lunch (3-4 o clock) was below average considering how great and cheap you can eat generally in Cancun downtown. It supposed to be all you can eat but the lines were big and they served you small portions. The time was also limited resulting in having about 30 minutes to eat being terribly hot too as it was outside. The Chichen Itza was the highlight. They left us there in the afternoon which was a good choice as it wasn't that hot. Just marvelous and worth the visit 100%. Also if you want any drinks during the trip you need to buy a bracelet for 10 dollars and during lunch no drinks included too. To add up, it lasted about 12-13 hours. Wasted more than 2 hours at the beginning to gather everyone and begin the tour. As we were strict on our budget this tour was nice to see many places at once but definitely wouldn't do it if we weren't 25 year old students.

Highly recommend

Great tour, the tour guides were amazing and they actually had a degree on history (Ramon) and archeologists (Tony). New bus, friendly people, You were given a great information in the tour and if you know a little bit about the history you can have a great conversation with the tour guides... also is one of the most affordable tours, the tours once you in Cancun hotel area are much higher on prices.
