Joacy again exceeded expectations and provided us with an out of the ordinary experience, cheerful, communicative, knowledgeable about history, super comfortable car, without a doubt I highly recommend it
We are extremely glad to hear you've enjoyed your trip. We took pride in our tours and transfers, and our drivers as well. Our job is to make sure your experience in Portugal with us is no less than amazing. We look forward to seeing you in the near future
We had an awful day. We specifically asked for an English speaking guide and all we got was a driver. He was unfamiliar with the place, did not know the itinerary. We decided to cut the trip short and come back to Lisbon. To make matters worse, the car broke down on the way home and we took an uber to get home. The worst part of all this, Viator could care less about our terrible experience. They refused to refund our money and they also did not bother to investigate the matter. Viator also claimed that they didn’t say we would get a certified guide. But they made us pay for one during the booking. Go figure!! They said that they checked with the vendor BlackCab who claimed everything was great! Please be advised that there is no way to call BlackCab or Viator easily. We tried calling them when the driver was late, but the numbers don’t work. We felt completely defrauded by Viator. Please be careful and be aware that these companies are only there to take your money, not to give you a wonderful experience.
Dear Mathew, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and acknowledge the challenges you faced. We would like to clarify some important points, as we value transparency and our customers’ satisfaction. Your reservation was made at the last minute, and we promptly arranged everything to provide the best possible service. The driver assigned to your experience spoke English at a conversational level and was a local with good knowledge of the area. He made every effort to be helpful and accompany your group whenever possible, even when you requested an itinerary that differed from the original plan. Regarding the vehicle breakdown, we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. While mechanical issues are unpredictable, we acted quickly and sent a replacement vehicle to assist you. We understand that you chose to arrange your own transportation via Uber, which we respect. Finally, regarding your refund request, we would like to note that the service was delivered as agreed at the time of booking. Despite the challenges, both our team and the driver did their best to provide you with a satisfactory experience.
James was an outstanding tour guide who deviated from the Coimbra itinerary to give our daughter (a scholar of ancient Rome) a tour of the amazing ruins of a Roman city in nearby Conimbra. The city was occupied in the 100s and the mosaics are fantastic, as is the museum. Our first stop in Tomar was equally wonderful, as we toured the romantic castle headquarters of the Knights Templar (circa 1100) and the baroque convent within its walls. Again, we loved James.
