Itinerary
After the Colosseum, you will see the archaeological site of the Roman Forum which represented the commercial, legal and administrative centre of Ancient Rome. Admiring this place, you will literally feel as if you were brought back in time during the Imperial age of Rome.
The impressive Basilica of Maxentius and the stately Arch of Titus will introduce the panoramic hill of the Palatine, where Emperors lived. It is the most ancient part of Rome, where Romulus founded the “Square Rome”, destined to become the world’s biggest Empire. Augustus, Tiberius, Maxentius and many others decided to build their Palaces here, among the remains of Romulus wall and the huts dating back to 4.000 years. His panoramic position, still offers amazing views on the Eternal City! Just the view of the Circus Maximum from the Palatine Hill is worth the tour.
Located between Aventino and Palatine, you can admire the Circus Maximus, the largest stadium in ancient Rome with a capacity of 300,000 spectators dedicated to the race of the chariots.
With your driver, you'll pass in front of the Mouth of Truth that sits under the portico of Santa Maria in Cosmedin. According to legend, if you tell a lie while your hand is in its mouth, the face will take a bite. Watch out!!
It time to see the Aventino Hill. This elegant residential area is an oasis of gardens and churches with the most divine view over the Tevere. A curious little keyhole offers the strange experience of looking at a miniature version of St. Peter’s Dome.
After the Aventino, you wil admire Piazza del Popolo, an elegant space in the northern quarters of the ancient city with the peculiarity of its twin Churches, Rome’s most ancient original Egyptian obelisk in its centre and the magnificent fountains of Valadier. Behind the simple facade of Santa Maria del Popolo, you will find incredible masterpieces.
No trip to Rome is complete without a visit to the Piazza Navona, one of the largest squares in the city. The space is incredibly popular among tourists for one primary reason: Bernini’s “Fountain of the Four Rivers.” Built to represent The Nile, The Ganges, The Danube and Rio de la Plata, the structure now sits amidst the artists who arrive to peddle their wares on a daily basis.
Next you will proceed to the Spanish Steps, one of the biggest tourist spots in the city. As you stand, you can admire the Church of Trinità dei Monti which sits at the top of a famous stairwell with the Fontana Della Barcaccia at its foot.
Hidden down the narrow backstreets of the city, Trevi Fountain is a secretive masterpiece and perhaps the most spectacular fountain in Rome. Built at the end of one of the famed aqueducts that supplied the Roman empire with water, this iconic setting attracts many visitors if only for them to toss a coin into its waters to ensure their safe return to Rome at some stage in the future.
Next on the list is the marvellous Castel Sant’Angelo. Built in the first century, this was Emperor Hadrian’s mausoleum which now serves as a museum.
Then, move onwards to the enchanting St. Peter’s Square, set within Vatican City in front of the famed St. Peter’s Basilica. The most iconic photos of this towering monument are always captured at night. At the heart of the piazza, lies an ancient Egyptian Obelisk, built in 1586. The square take its ultimate form almost 100 years later thanks to the inspired design of Gian Lorenzo Bernini who introduced the Tuscan colonnades that now frame the surrounds.
Finally, you will ascend the second highest hill in all of Rome – Gianicolo – and admire the splendour of a sparkling skyline from this lofty outpost. Sitting on the western extremity of the city, there are few better vantage points from which to relish the domed edifices and beautiful bell-towers of this enchanting urban spectacle. Sights at Janiculum Hill include the church of San Pietro – rumoured to be the location of St Peter’s crucifixion – as well as a small shrine known as Tempietto, otherwise understood to be the site of Peter’s death.

I found everything about the service excellent. Amira was my driver-guide and went out of her way to explain the history of the places we visited. She gave me enough time at each place and was flexible to meet my preferences.
Dear Michael, Thank you very much for your wonderful review and for sharing your positive experience during your panoramic car tour of the beautiful city of Rome. We are delighted to hear that our service helped to make your visit special and allowed you to appreciate the beauty of the capital even more. Your feedback is a great source of motivation for us and encourages us to continue offering high-quality experiences to our customers. We hope to welcome you back in the future for more adventures discovering Rome. Thank you again for your trust and for choosing our service. Carlo
I gave this company an opportunity to make things right before I gave a review because I’m a small business owner myself. They would not even offer a partial refund of which is an astounding price for the lack of value you receive. Do not trust this company. It’s merely a driver that takes you to spots for 3 hours and offers zero information. You can hire an Uber for cheaper or even just get a local driver. I signed up for along with my 16 year old daughter based on the two glowing reviews (my bad) about the tour guides being super knowledgeable about Rome and the areas. This was booked as a tour and even said the tour guide spoke English. Tour guides by definition guide you around and offer by valuable insight into places you are visiting. This is my experience and the letter written to the company. To whom it may concern: We chose your tour based on the excellent reviews highlighting the knowledgeable guides, but unfortunately, our experience did not live up to these expectations. While our tour guide was pleasant and even kind enough to make a stop for my daughter to shop, the actual tour was disappointing. When we began the tour and asked questions about the city's landmarks, it became evident that he lacked the knowledge expected of a tour guide. For instance, when I inquired about the significance of the Spanish Steps, he could only respond that they are a popular site, similar to other historical monuments. To learn about the places we visited, I found myself searching for information on Wikipedia, which was frustrating given that we had booked the tour to gain insights from a guide as it says on the viator app. Additionally, as we drove through various neighborhoods, there was no commentary or context provided, leaving us feeling more like passengers in a glorified Uber ride rather than participants in a guided tour. Eventually he heard me reading from Wikipedia and started researching on his own. At times reading while he was driving and swerving into other lanes. Given these circumstances, I believe it would be fair to request a partial refund. We would prefer to resolve this matter directly with you before considering any further actions, such as posting reviews that could negatively impact your business I appreciate your attention to this issue and look forward to your response. I had such high expectations and wish it would’ve worked out. There response was disingenuous and claims it does not say tour or guide anywhere. It’s literally on the app. Hope this helps someone else
Dear Mr Schneider, we are sorry to answer only now, but we had to check the facts with our driver as well. We are very sorry that the tour was not to your liking, this is the first time customers are dissatisfied, in fact as you said yourself, you chose it based on the excellent reviews from our customers! He tells us that Sam knew nothing about a tour guide! Of course not he is a driver!!!! However, I would like to clarify that the driver is not a professional guide and that the tour he chose is an overview by car and that the guide service is not included. It is written very clearly!!! What is included: Pick up and drop off in Rome by private luxury car with chauffeur Luxury air-conditioned car at disposal for the whole tour For the option from Civitavecchia, lunch is included. At this point, I invite all the people reading your review to go and see what is included in the tour! best regards Carlo (Owner)
Igor was amazing so kind and nice to me and my teenage sons. Best driver we could have ever had in n helping us understand Rome's history. Very lucky to get him. Grazie San Pietro per Igor and of course an AC car in July in Roma.
Dear Ms Tania, customers like you make us proud of our work and inspire us to do better, we hope you can visit us again soon, a thank you also from Igor e Tania! Ciao
Ghazwan was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the area. Would highly recommend you do this tour on your first day so you can see all the sites and then decide which ones you would like to go spend more time at. All stops give you ample time for photo opportunities, never felt rushed. We choose not to return to the hotel and were dropped off to explore more on our own after the tour.
Dear Jane, thank you for your review and for recommending our tour. We are really happy that you have been fully satisfied with our service. The purpose of this tour, as you have rightly pointed out, is precisely to provide an overview of the main attractions of Rome by car. It is the easiest and fastest way to see its top highlights in three hours, but without taking away space from photos and in-depth information from the driver. In this regard, we thank you for having appointed Gazwan; we will also share your positive feedback with him. We hope to be soon at your service again with our other activities! Best regards
