Although I have lived local to Chester for many years and visit the City often I’d never taken a tour - at £15 for 90 minutes of wonderful history insights to this beautiful City is a definite bargain - the time went so quickly but at a pace that allowed you to take in all the information. Caroline was an enthusiastic tour guide who really cared about her group and subject - thank you
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a real pleasure to share Chester’s history with you, especially knowing you have visited the city for so many years. I’m delighted you enjoyed the pace of the tour and found it both engaging and worthwhile. It means a great deal to hear your thoughts.
Excellent introduction to the city, its history dating back to the Romans, how it declined through the Middle Ages, and its resurgence to what it is today. Learnt so much about the city, the link with the Duke of Westminster, why Prince William is the Duke of Chester, the first ever shopping mall in the world.... It was so interesting and the pace was just right. Phil was engaging and considerate of the group. We stopped at some great photo locations as well. Highly recommend.

Very hot day in Chester. Caroline was very considerate with showing us the Eastgate clock, The rows, and outside of Chester Cathedral, while finding areas of shade and even stopped when we wanted ice cream. She drew us a historical timeline of the context and sights. Unfortunately that we could not see some of the sights due to the heat, but I appreciated the time take to highlight and abbreviate the tour for our comfort!

A very enjoyable and informative tour of Chester with Phil. Not just a standard tour but a slightly deeper dive into why and how Chester became so strategically and commercially important. Well worth the time and not too spenny.
