In New York, what is not missing are tourist attractions such as museums, parks, famous streets etc. However, undoubtedly there are gigantic buildings, from the old Empire State Building to the newest ones, and in particular those that have observatories on the top floors. In this context, the visit to the The Edge Observatory is something that can not fail to be done by the tourist who is in the city. This building has an external observation deck located at 336m high, considered the highest in the western hemisphere, with a glass floor located beyond the projection of the building that transmits the feeling of being floating. Just insane! In addition, the building has four floors of shopping with some of the most famous clothing brands in the world, as well as restaurants etc, which confer the place the unforgettable visiting seal. The architecture, by the KPF Office, is a separate attraction that does not go unnoticed by anyone. Its more than 100 floors were inaugurated in March 2020, being the second tallest in the city. Definitely worth the visit.
If you want to walk in the void and do not suffer from vertigo, it is a visit you cannot miss. There is also a beautiful staircase at 360 meters high where you can sit and admire the entire city
The perfect place to make beautiful selfs or photos. A panoramic view of New York!
you should go, has the best view ever!!!
Place of easy access and very quiet entrance. Small and fast rows. The view from above is spectacular. The shopping below is also very good. It's worth the walk.
Good observatory, located in the WESTERN part of Manhathhan, you can see practically the whole district, from the buildings facing the central park, the whole midtown to the south. You see of course New Jersey. New building, ideal to combine with the madison square garden (two blocks away), The Vessel (next door), the hign line (starts one block away) and the chelsea market and little island walking along said high line. Perfect to make all that west manhathhan area and end up in the greenwalt movie locations
A breathtaking goddess, glass floor from which you can see down and glass windows around to admire the view from above! A view of NY that you should not lose...
We had booked a day when it was snowing at sunset. Upon arrival, the staff offered to change our reservation with better conditions. So we went back the next day. It’s pretty well organized, the staff is very friendly (like a lot of New York). We found the view less impressive than the other observatories. The vacuum platform didn't really convince us.
We had an appointment at 19.40 we arrived for 19.15 and 3 times we were stopped.... At the time of our timetable they blocked an elevator and we went up to the panorama at 21.15 a scandalous thing ... arrived above it was not possible to have quiet spot to observe the panorama! It felt like being at the Porchetta Fair.... After 5’ we wanted to go down and we had to wait to go down.... A very shameful thing
We went to the sunset (we included the GoCity pass) and it is impressive the atmosphere... Live music, people dancing salsa...great. the only catch was what we had to get down!!!!
