11/10 experience in Osaka!

Had an unforgettable experience at the Osaka tea ceremony. The hosts were kind, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic which made for a welcoming atmosphere. We started off our experience with a quick segway into the history of traditional Japanese tea ceremonies which touched on both the origins, and the spiritual elements, allowing for a deeper appreciation for the culture. After this, our gracious host provided the instructions and a quick demonstration of the traditional way to make matcha tea which was both informative and impressive. We ended off with a humorous attempt to replicate the craft of tea making, which was a lot harder than it looked. Overall an 11/10 experience in Osaka, and guaranteed fun for families and individuals of all ages.

Got to say Noriko is the best host. Very polite, very patient and very observant. She shared the history of tea ceremony and also demonstrated it in details. Patiently taught us the steps and guide us to do it for ourselves. she handled the Q&A portion amazingly, very knowledgeable.

Matcha and mochi

Cool tea ceremony close to Dotonburi. You are served sweet mochi and learn/ experience Japanese tea ceremony. Then you do the matcha whisking yourself after. A con would just be that the activity next door was pretty loud, so it kinda disrupted the tranquility of the ceremony, but I'll still give it 5 stars.

This was a must do experience in Japan and better prices than in Kyoto with four people. I took my two adult kids and teen and they loved it.
