Time permitting, we’ll take a short stroll around Shinsekai—an often-overlooked area packed with hidden gems, fun facts, and sights to discover.
Walk past Tsutenkaku, the famous landmark tower that is the focal point of the area and see where kushikatsu all began. Walk through the streets that over a century ago, were designed to bring a western feeling to Osaka.

I really enjoyed this food tour and would highly recommend it. This was a great way to start off Osaka to learn about the culture and try so much of the amazing food! Jake was so knowledgeable and we had a great time learning from him!

Our tour guide - Tim - was an exuberant, personable, knowledgeable expat that just loves being, knowing, and eating in Japan. It came through very much when he would talk about the food, the history, and the area of Osaka we were in. I would go back for Tim as a tour guide. Additionally, Tim was very cognizant and accommodating about food allergens and preferences. He made sure everyone was accommodated, but not restricted in the experience. The food we tried were all great. The selection was quintessential Osaka street food. Many of the things I wanted to try on my Japan trip were present in the various offerings with some others I was not expecting. All the establishments we went were nice little holes in the wall; not places I would have picked out if I were walking the district, but they were welcoming and had tasty food. Each restaurant had a different flair. Overall, great tour guide (Tim), good selection, and yummy food!
Absolutely unforgettable experience. The guide was so friendly and made my trip just that much better. The food was also absolutely delicious, 80 dollars is a steal! Just amazing, the food, the guide, the area, the energy. You won’t regret booking this tour!
