Fernando and Memo were the best guides for Tapalpa. I could not have found anyone better. They know the area and Mexico very well. They explained so many things to me about the history, and showed me places and foods that I had never even heard of before. They made me feel so comfortable with the air conditioner, clean vehicle, and their friendly attitude. This tour with Fernando and Memo was more than worth the price and I am so glad to have had this experience.
We spent an incredible day knowing the Sierra de Tapalpa, Fernando is a very friendly and fun person, apart from knowing many interesting and historical facts about the places he took us to know, he is an expert in tequilas and mezcals and shared all his knowledge, apart from giving us to taste a very famous mezcal of the region and even took us to know the factory where they produce it. We visited the center of Tapalpa where we could appreciate the beautiful buildings and temples of this Magic Town and bought the typical sweets such as rompope, drunken, quince sweet and pomegranate punch. The whole experience was very enriching and I highly recommend it. Tapalpa is not far from Guadalajara so having left the city early made us take advantage of the day and get to know this beautiful corner of Jalisco.
An amazing experience and would definitely recommend it for those who want to leave the city! With all the attentions and an excellent guide!!
The tour to Tapalpa is very complete, from the pulque to the mezcal of the region, is in a privileged mountain area, I did not know that I had so many places to know and that had already gone on 2 occasions. It's definitely worth it.
It has been a great experience to travel to know the wonderful landscapes of Tapalpa. Fernando is a guide with a lot of knowledge of the place and adaptability to the needs of the group. We visited different places within Tapalpa that I did not imagine could be found, with many activities to be carried out and also enjoyed delicious pulque and mezcal of the region. I recommend this experience for travelers who like outdoor activities and traveling on these dates will allow you to enjoy an ideal climate to tour the mountains.
Last August 2019. We leave very early for the village of Tapalpa, heading for the exit to the Freeway to Colima. An area that is part of the Sierra de Quila and with a Vegetation full of Trees and a very fresh area. The town and farms with tile finishes on their roofs and no graffiti on their walls. It transports us to a Jalisco of old. We visit the Stone Zone, a natural place where rocks of phenomenal dimensions are found.
