This was one of the best and most relaxing tours we’ve ever done! Michelle and Juan Carlos were absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcomed from the very beginning. We learned so much about the tequila-making process, visited beautiful places, and had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people along the way. The transportation was excellent and everything was organized so seamlessly, making the entire experience stress-free. Michelle even went above and beyond at the end of our tour. Even though it was getting late, she still took the time to make sure we could visit our last stop, Cantaritos El Güero, which ended up being such a fun and unforgettable experience. Overall, this tour exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely book again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!
Talk about an amazing intro into the world of tequila. The firsthand look at the making of Agave spirit was entertaining, informative and most important, satisfying. Both distilleries provided excellent products to sample. The two brothers who own Tequila Dos O were such gracious hosts in a perfect end to the day. Aside from her near panic attack when a bug flew into the vehicle, our guide Michelle was knowledgeable about the process and the region. She was also a delight. Breakfast and dinner choices were perfect as well.
We had the best day. Andy was our driver and guide - she made sure we were all having a great time and she was so knowledgeable about tequila - a true tequila connoisseur and expert! The itinerary packed a lot in, with a number of distillery tours and tastings, breakfast and lunch, and free time to wander the town of Tequila. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Guadalajara!
I had an amazing time on the VIP Agave Experience tour. What surprised me most was that it ended up being a private tour with just me and the guide. A special thank you to Andrea, who was not only right on time for pickup but was also incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout the day. I started the tour knowing very little about tequila, and by the end I had learned so much about the entire process, from how agave is grown and cultivated, to how it is harvested, processed, and ultimately transformed into tequila. Andrea did an excellent job explaining the differences between the various types of tequila, the aging process, and how different fruit flavors can be incorporated into certain products. We visited several distilleries and had the opportunity to taste many different tequilas, which made the experience both fun and educational. I was also practicing my Spanish during the trip. Although I had originally booked the tour in English, Andrea kindly helped me by speaking in Spanish when possible and making sure I could understand everything. She was patient, encouraging, and made the experience comfortable regardless of the language. Even though I was the only guest on the tour, I never felt awkward or rushed. Andrea made the experience engaging from start to finish, and her passion for tequila and agave culture really came through. Thank you, Andrea, for such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about tequila, agave, and Mexican culture.
I participated in the tour on June and it was the best season to visit. I went there by myself but couldn’t speak Spanish at all, but my guide was so nice to me and talked with me in English all the time that I was able to have full experience in Jalisco!! You can enjoy both history and drinking in each location, which should be fun for all generations!
Very well curated tequila tasting experience! Will definitely like to come back to Jalisco and try their other tour options. We had a chance to visit G4 and Tequila Ocho, which are both very well known tequila brands. Thank you Andie for being so patient with our group, from start to finish. We celebrated a birthday in our group, and they went out of their way to make it special and memorable. Thank you Giancarlo for your responsiveness and for an amazing experience!
Absolutely recommend the tour. If you have an interest in the craft of distilling spirits. You learn a lot about the history and origin of tequila and its flavor diversity. Andie was also able to explain a lot about the regulations and proved to be a true master of tequila.
This tequila tour with Andrea was so much fun! I enjoyed learning about how tequila is made in addition to the tastings. The tequilas were delicious & I loved the food pairings of fresh fruit, candies, & cheese cake. Breakfast with the locals was very tasty, The town of teauila had many taco stands & tons of shopping. It was a very fun day!
Michelle is an excellent guide—very professional and knowledgeable. I’ve been on other distillery tours before, but this one was especially enjoyable. We had a great time throughout the entire trip, from the first breakfast stop to the final destination. The whole experience felt relaxed and smooth. Definitely highly recommended!
It turned out that my wife and I were the only people on the tour that day, so we had our guide Andrea all to ourselves! She's an excellent leader and driver, and made our day super fun and educational. As we drove, she pointed out the many agave plants growing in the region and explained a lot about the economics of the industry. We got a really in-depth look at tequila production at the Cava De Oro distillery, as well as a fine tasting. After that tour, I felt like I knew enough to start making tequila! We didn't realize before then that cooked tequila tastes great (much like a sweet yam). Then we had another tasting at the Casa Marengo distillery where we picked up some excellent blancos at very reasonable prices. Lastly, we rolled into the town of Tequila, had an elegant lunch at a beautiful restaurant, walked around the city, then did some more tasting at a tasting room in town. All in all, it was a wonderful day and I heartily recommend the tour to anyone who loves tequila and the countryside of Jalisco.
