Carrying Cambodia’s heart across continents, I led Phare Circus as CEO for over a decade and Phare Creative Studio with devotion to pride and empowerment. Whether traveling with our artists to world stages or standing on those stages myself, my mission has always been to share our enduring stories and our “Cambodianess” with the world. My journey was shaped by my father’s legacy as Village Chief and Head of Wat Preah Enkosar Pagoda & School Committee, he fundraised to build the Wat Po Langka Pagoda Bridge—a wooden & iron structure that connected our community to its heart. Wat Po Langka Pagoda — We’ll begin at a pagoda and later close with another, tracing the foundation of Cambodian beliefs. Here you’ll learn how pagodas have shaped the past, present, and aspiring future of our communities. You’ll also glimpse to the exact spot I was born at, including memories of my early childhood.
Boeung Donpa Bridge — Pass by and admire the new bridge built over the one from my story. Remember the person who made it possible: SOU Chan Huot, also known as LIM Tech Huot — whose legacy I walk upon and honor as I begin a new chapter in life.
Phum Boeung Donpa Village — Walk through my birth village, Phum Boeung Donpa. Hear stories of resilience, generosity, and “meh tenh” — presence, care, humanity. Visit homes, including mine when I was a youth, connect with villagers, hear their stories.
École française d’Extrême-Orient (EFEO)—A serene colonial‑era site of memory and knowledge. On working and working days, you will explore rare archives, admire architecture, immerse in installations from the center's reserches and recall textile traditions once alive here. Nestled near the Angkor Conservation compound, is a serene architectural gem. Its graceful colonial-era buildings and tranquil library invite quiet reflection. EFEO’s presence in Siem Reap dates back to 1907, when it was entrusted with the inventory and preservation of Angkor monuments. A year later, it established the Angkor Conservation Office, which became a hub for safeguarding temple artifacts and conducting archaeological research. - Explore the EFEO Library, which holds over 3,000 volumes in Khmer, French, and English, plus rare maps and archives from 1908–1975. - Admire the architecture, blending French colonial design with Cambodian elements.
Wat Preah En Kosar End your journey with art, culture, and reflection At Wat Preah En Kosar, the experience closes on a deeply personal and cultural note. Admire the vibrant murals sponsored in 1990 by your mother, meet local artists, and share reflections that help sustain access for others. If the timing is right, join in the offering of alms to Buddhist monks—a meaningful gesture of generosity. As a bonus, engage in a special discussion on meditation, exploring ānāpānasati (mindfulness of breathing) and Vipassanā (insight practice), for a deeper spiritual dimension.

The tour was excellent. I felt connected and learned about Cambodian Arts, History and Culture. I learned about the beautiful story of the CEO, Dara who has spent 25+ years to promote Cambodia, arts and culture. I visited the beautiful pagoda with rich of artists and history. A wonderful experience in a peaceful and authentic setting. The meditation session at the villa with its swimming pool was both relaxing and rejuvenating. The visit to the Khmer village near the pagoda offered a great opportunity to discover the local culture in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
