Description

A true wonder of the world, don’t forget visiting Angkor Wat. It is hard to put the experience into words. Certainly worthwhile going at sunrise - even if the weather isn't the best the crowds are smaller and the temperatures are comfortable. Take some time to learn about the culture before visiting so not to insult the locals. On this tour, make an early start and explore Angkor Wat before the crowds arrive. Afterward, take in the highlights of Angkor Wat complex including the jungle temple Ta Prohm, Angkor Thom, and Banteay Kdei temple. Our expert guides are extremely knowledgeable about the attractions in Cambodia, as well as hidden gems and local stories that’ll give you a better in-depth understanding of Cambodia. They are also experienced in avoiding crowds, heat and taking great photographs.

Exceptional tour and worth the early wake up

We had the most exceptional tour today with our guide Sen and our driver Tim. Mr. Sen met us with a warm welcome and a smile to start our day. He is so knowledgeable about the entire Angkor Wat area and each temple we visited. He is also an amazing photographer. Mr Sen was able to find the perfect locations for our shots and has amazing skills with your phone to take stunning keepsake photos. Mr. Tim was a great driver who was always smiling and ready to pick us up with a cold water in hand on a hot day. I can’t recommend this tour and this team enough. I hope you book this tour and are lucky enough to enjoy the day with Sen and Tim too.

Much more than a tour of buildings

I skipped the sunrise tour because it was the rainy season and there was no sunshine early mornings. Instead I had a leisurely morning and left at nine in the morning until about four in the afternoon. Had a private tuck - tuck driver and the private guide and that was the best choice ever. Samuth took care of me in every way. I like to walk a lot he came with me everywhere. Got to see everything, he answered all questions (and there were many). I learned much more than just about the buildings. I learned about the culture and the country which was the best ever. Because I like the first day so much, should I book the second day with the same duo. The ‘Lara Croft’ temple was more impressive than most… nature augmenting to human made beauty. I left feeling like my horizon was expanded significantly, and some aspects of Cambodian culture will hopefully remain within me for the rest of my life.

100% recommend

Very happy with our experience. Our tour guide, Mr. T, was super knowledgeable and funny. We enjoyed listening not only about the temples but about Cambodia's past and it's people. Transportation was comfortable and they offer you bottles of cold water in between visits, plus wet wipes which honestly helps a lot! Thanks also to Mr. Tim!

Highly recommend David as a guide

We booked the sunrise tour with David and it was so insightful! He is extremely knowledgeable about Angkor Wat and was able to answer all our questions, even those regarding the temple's smallest details! We also enjoyed listening his stories about the temple's history, such as the sibling feud between two Khmer kings. He and our driver, Mr Nak, also took very good care of us, providing us with cold water and cold towels between stops, which was a lifesaver in the Cambodian humidity, and he was excellent at taking photos!! Not only is he charismatic and has an excellent command of English, he is also very intelligent and we learnt lots about Cambodia's socio-political context, from the Khmer empire to modern times! It was definitely an enlightening tour that we will never forget.

Sunrise at Angkor Wat

From start to finish, everything was seamlessly organized and made for an incredible experience. Our tour guide, Mr. Se, was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Cambodian history and culture. He brought every temple to life with rich storytelling and knew all the best spots for photos and the best routes to avoid the major crowds! We learned so much while moving through Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm at a comfortable, relaxed pace. A huge shoutout to our driver, Mr. Chea, as well! He was always punctual, extremely professional, and drove so smoothly. Highly recommend this trip.
